@Farabee Pushpita That is long after this scene and the slushy thing was meant to hit Kurt's chest (since Kurt, though it's not obvious with camera tricks, is much taller than Blaine and Blaine rushed while leaning down). Honestly, the eye thing and the steroid thing were meant to be "because we need New Directions to be the good guys and win" plot contrivance. Sebastian was a compelling character and fell into the "we will demonize the false love interest who has an interest in one of the pairing so the OTP remains intact" tropes. Likewise, the writers kind of wrote themselves into a corner with Nationals by having the Warblers as rivals. Specifically, more dance-heavy Warblers ever since Sebastian took over and then some more with Hunter. If they did more amazing bops like Valerie where they actually utilized Brittany and Mike's dancing skills and had more variety than the usual New Directions' Nationals formula, they would have stood a realistic chance against the Warblers and do that whole "Might Equals Right" moral victory through actually winning the competition thing they had going on. Instead, New Directions weren't doing anything as cool as Valerie and the Warblers got so good that even audiences who were primed to favor the protagonists couldn't say that New Directions were objectively better than the Warblers. It's kind of like how Rachel didn't get to NYADA at first, but instead of keeping that compelling storyline that allowed Rachel to grow from failure and her fear of failure, they chickened out and had her be accepted.
