The impression I got from other people attempting to make gaming boards on this stuff was that it's good...for a few months. But with repeated use, the jigsaw edges break off pretty easily unless you're setting it up once and never taking it apart again. Most successful modular boards I have seen with the stuff just cut off the sides and then reinforce the bottom and sides.
@4hedgesfamily2 жыл бұрын
In the US you can buy floor mats like that at Harbor Freight for about $8.00 US (last time I looked, anyway). They make a 4x4 foot-square mat. Sometimes you can even get lucky and find them at a thrift shop. Here's a thought: If you were to model some hills on these with insulation foam or some other method, how well would the hills stick? And how hard would it be to carve in river sections, gullies, and the like?
@joshpotter92612 жыл бұрын
Use Barge adhesive and it will stick that EVA together until Doomsday, and probably past that!
@chaseb83972 жыл бұрын
If you carve in to the foam matt you can get rivers or trenches. In a way these boards can be modular.

I got in on the first ibuiltit Kickstarter as soon as I saw it. I loved the 4ground buildings and these reminded me of them. I got the peasant dwelling, Green Gables. Yo Luke /Josh, I have those type of floor tiles down in my shed/workshop (but in black), they are quite handy to have in your painting and assembling area as they are nice and soft if ya drop anything. Compared to the definate thud and break of minis hitting wood flooring, this is a much more forgiving surface to have :)
