When you watch this you think ”Oh, how cute. A girl band. They might play a few neighborhood gigs and that’ll be it.” Fast forward to today where they’re opening for Foo Fighters and other major bands. They’ve put in the work, they’re still grinding and people are realizing they’re on a trajectory to superstardom.

There is a video where Dani walks by Ale's mic and is freaked out because it is now even with the top of her head! When you watch their COVID concert, they switch mic's and it's in Dani's forehead, while Dani's mic is under Ale's chin.😉👍♥️🤘

Pau refers to this era as her chipmunk voice. Ale laying down the groove at the age where I was picking my nose and trying to master tying my shoelaces. Keep rollin Jimmy!

Yes. Ale had the groove going on for sure. Her little head bobbing and toe tapping is so endearing.

but then, Ale never really nailed the shoelaces tying, as the first show with muse proved.... ;-) Bass took priority!

There is a video out from I believe from the Agua Fria concert they did some time back, and the girls took questions from the crowd. One of the questions was if you could go back in time and give yourself advice what would it be. Pau said to eat more fruit or else Ale was going to be so much bigger than her. Peace.

Enjoyed your reaction, Jimmy, especially when Pau started singing!! You need not worry. Pau owns her shortness... just as long as you acknowledge that she is a GIANT. This video is an icon, and one of my favorites! It is also currently their second most viewed video, with over 4.6 million views.

This is what most drummers that sing sound like. And now she doesn't! Hundreds of hours of drumming and breath control practice. Please appreciate just how much work the woman ( now) has put into becoming the awesome vocalist AND drummer she now is.

Even then, you could tell Pau has a no-nonsense attitude, and Ale has her serious face until they finish, then she has a satisfied smirk. These are priceless videos and makes you appreciate their current work all the more because you can see the work they put in. When you see them smiling on stage now, it's evident they still love it. They did go back and watch their Enter Sandman video from the MTV studio and they all had a great laugh.

I think this is one of the many key reasons that people take to them specially in the early days,Its that serious look they have so that they are taken seriously even tho they are very young,I remember one of them saying that they didnt see themselves as children when performing...

@@d4anzig yes, that’s exactly right. I think I remember that from when they watched their own ES video. Pau says they did not feel like kids, they wanted to be taken seriously. Lucky for them they have so much talent and charisma that once you heard them play you couldn’t help but take them seriously. Pau also said she wanted everyone to fall in love with her outfit. So hilarious.

Ale is younger than Dany by nearly 5 years and Pau by nearly 3 years. The bass is only 3/4 size, not even a full size bass FYI: all the covers they do at this time Ale has only been playing bass 1 to 2 years. She started lessons at 7 and one month after a month Dany and Pau saw Ale could really play and they started playing covers. At that time Dany and Pau had been on their instruments nearly 4 years. So, Ale could play at their level after one month. If you watch the video of Ale with her bass teacher Pablo Gonzales you will see her playing his 6 string bass. Only word is prodigy. Dany and Pau also mention that Ale was the more talented on piano.

I'm around 6'2" and there have been times when being tall is useful, like reaching stuff on the top shelf. But there have also been times like banging my head on low-hanging light fixtures, when it wasn't always so great. I spent some time in Asia where I had to duck low to enter through some doorways, plus I could always see over people's heads at bus stations. Sometimes standing out is not a good thing, though, like when you are trying to hide to keep from being shot at. BTW, you NEVER tell Pau she's short. The least she will do is ignore you, but likely she will never speak to you again. Having said that, she is almost 3 inches taller than my ex-wife. LOL

Pau doesn't care that she is short as long as you don't tease her if you're not a close friend or family member. Otherwise, if you do she would rather you go away and never speak to her again. Direct quote from her. None of them are tall. Dany is maybe 5'-4" and Ale is 5'-7" or so.
