THE WARNING at The Whisky A Go Go || "Keep Me Fed" Release Show || West Hollywood, CA || 6/26/24

Here are some songs by THE WARNING from their 6/26/24 performance at The Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA. This was a special show to commemorate the release of their fourth studio album, "Keep Me Fed".
NOTE: The show was an 8 song set, but I only got 6. Songs I missed were "More" and "Que Mas Queries". I did start recording "More", but about 45 seconds in my phone fell so I didn't bother finish recording the song. I did intend on recording "QMQ", but was stupid and thought I could go and get a Coke at the bar (which was about 10-12 feet behind me) and get back before the song started. Unfortunately the short line took longer than it should have, so my apologies in advance for missing that.

Watching Ale play Burnout live....WOW! She carries that song and her hands are just flying up and down the neck of that bass. She's soooo good and I think this album really showcases her ability to "lead" the melody with her bass.

Ale is incredible on all the new songs. She is the secret weapon. It’s easy to focus on Dany and Pau, both incredible. But Ale deserves credit for holding these grooves down. Excellent bass playing. The bass on this album is some of the best I’ve heard on any rock album, from any era. Ale is a superb musician, and she’s still only 19 or 20 years old? Insane.

You can see her swap hands with the remaining stick, then get a new one, the lost one has flown across the stage, then Ale notices it and checks on her, sees she's OK and carries on, all within about 5 seconds :)

Love the communication onstage between Pau and Ale. Pau gets amped and might rush a bit. Watch Ale walk back to the drum kit at 22:50 to make sure they stay on time. Then Pau loses a drum stick, Ale is right there to make sure they keep the beat while Pau grabs a new stick. This is top-notch pro level musicianship. The attention to detail. The deep groove.

​​​@@gonzalez-thecrow4989I think what is going on during the verses is that it is in 4/4, with phrases of 8 measures. The first 3 measures are pretty standard "one-two-THREE-four". But then measures 4 through 8 are highly syncopated, with Pau going off into her own little world and the rest of the band going sideways.. At the end of the 8th measure, everything somehow comes back together, and the cycle repeats. That is what my semi-musical brain can tell, anyway. I could be wrong. Whatever it is, it is REALLY creative! I would love to hear Andrew Rooney do a breakdown of this.

This is my favorite live version of Automatic Sun so far. The Bass.. I mean wow. But they are just getting tighter each time they play it. This one almost seems like it has a chance to breathe at times.. not sure i understand what im hearing yet. But i think if you are getting tickets to see them live when the get back to the states later this year. you are gonna get a well rehearsed version of these songs live for sure.

It is not just becoming the best The Warning song is the last one you hear but that the last The Warning concert is the best concert they have ever done. Dany’s vocals are exponentially improving, Ale’s bass is like a wild beast thundering through each song and Pau just speechless - the best?.
