I’m 52 from England. Me and the wife flew 5000 miles to see “The Warning” at the Whisky on the 16th jan 2020. They were awesome, as I knew they would be. If you get a chance to see them you won’t be disappointed.

Wow, that's the longest trip to see a concert I've ever heard. Seriously impressed. I can think of one other band that had 3-generation appeal right out of the box. Found The Black Keys when no one knew them. Saw 70-year-old guys at a 2003 show. 10 years later they sold out MSG in 15 minutes - twice.

I wish people wouldn't lump these girls with gimmicky groups like Bandmaid,Babymetal,and to a lesser degree Liliac. The Warning are a completly different kettle of fish altogether,and despite them doing covers,because they can,(and especially on "Atlas Rise") these ladies are far more talented,and write their own material as you are by now fully aware. I've been around close to 6 decades now,and The Warning are the only band that can really be the torch bearers for rock music in my opinion - they are that good ! But back to this cover,it must send chills up James,Kirk,Lars and Robs spines to see a young band cover one of their songs so well - especially how Dany can cover 2 guitarists parts,and sing,Pau can just obliterate those drums and sing,and Ale's solid bass just holding that groove together...

Did you see the energy they displayed in this song? I was there. This was song number 22 after playing 21 originals. The video doesn't come close to capturing the live experience with them. That was January 24, 2019, and the first time I saw them. Now I've seen them 9 times, traveling from Alabama to L.A., New York, Monterrey,, MX and Tijuana. You can react to literally anything on their channel from Lunario CDMX (Lunario is the venue in Mexico City). They have videos for their entire Queen of the Murder scene, as well as several from their first album XXI Century Blood. They have an EP, and 2 full length albums, and are going into the studio this year for album number III. Escape the Mind - EP 2015 XXI Century Blood - Album 2017 Queen of the Murder Scene - Concept album 2018 They have not released a bad song. Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album that tells the story of a woman spiraling into psychosis, murder, regret, suicide. She was wearing a Def Leppard T-shirt not only because she likes the band, but also because The Warning opened for Def Leppard twice. They also opened for The Killers twice. Their North American tour features 23 dates in US and Canada during March and April. I saw them last month at the Whisky and they blew the roof off. Anything live at Lunario CDMX November 2018. The Warning premiered Queen of the Murder Scene album. They are doing a 3rd album this year and their 1st North American tour March-April this year.

The Warning are, to my opinion, the best band of the new generation. The next original should be Survive (live at TedX). For other great covers by them: The pretender by Foo fighters Hysteria by Muse (at liceo) But, like band maid, there are other great young bands. O k, this was played after a two hour show of total original songs, it was played as a thankyou to the organiser of the concert. They have two original albums and they have just started working on the third. If I can suggest you play P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C or ugh from the Queen of the murder scene album. Oh, and if you get a chance to see them live do so, they never disappoint.

Pau ( The drummer) has a really interesting tone. I think that has a lot to do with why a lot of people prefer her voice, that and just the fact the she's a singing drummer. I think Dany has a bigger range though. I like the fact that they both sing. It helps are variety. I'm waiting for Ale to take some leads. Btw nice guitar work on your end. It really helped Dany fill out the sound. The End is my fav song of theirs from the same concert. Sorry don't have a link but it's an easy search.

You two should also try Motion Device. They’ve done a bunch of covers, I think more than The Warning did, but are also proceeding at roughly the same pace with original output. That is, one EP and two albums and working on third. For a Motion Device original try Alive. But for covers they’ve done a mix of classic metal and prog metal. MD have more videos than live. TW is the opposite. Only one promo and the rest basement or live.

Absolutely!! The original, well, kinda bored me. I know I could be construed as biased because I was there, about ten feet from the guitarist (Dany), when they played this, but that was some finale to the best concert I'd ever been to. IMO, they have joined Jimi, and Manfred Mann's Earth Band in the elite club of the cover outshining the original. Thank you for reacting to The Warning. They are my favorite band.

Joliet Jake that was a heck of a trip. I am a 62 yr old, the wife and I flew to NYC in December to see them and they blew us away. The energy of the live performance doesn't compare to watching them on KZbin. We saw them at Katz deli next door to the mercury but I was afraid to disturbed them. We quickly bought tickets to see them in ATL and are waiting for April to roll around. At least we can drive there!
