Welcome to The Warning! They are 3 sisters from Mexico that are rapidly taking over the world of rock right now! They are Daniela (Dany, 23, on guitar), Paulina (Pau, 21, on drums - pronounced POW which fits well because she's a stick of dynamite), and Alejandra (Ale, 18, on bass - pronounced Ah-leh). If you think it's impressive that Pau sings backup, wait till you hear her sing lead while pounding away at the drums! She sings lead on about 20% of their songs, and shares vocals with her sister Dany on a few songs as well. Ale mostly prefers backup vocals, but can sing lead if need be as well. They are classicaly trained and all play the piano very well. They've been a band since they were 13, 11, and 9, and went viral with a cover of Enter Sandman that was originally intended only for their grandparents. I stumbled across this band 5 years ago this July. YT kept recommending me a video of a 10 year old drummer playing a cover of a Kelly Clarkson song. I ignored it for quite some time, but the damn thing would not go away. Finally I gave in and my jaw hit the floor. Young Paulina had the power of a 20 year old man on the kit, with the feel of a 70 year old jazz player and the timing of who I am not sure (but I was impressed). I was compelled to find out more so I clicked on the info of the video and discovered she had a band with her sisters. Dutifully I entered "The Warning" into the search and one of the top suggestions was a show from the Whisky a Go Go in LA, from just a few months prior. What I watched changed me for ever. I had given up on finding new music that was worth my money, or that I gave a damn about but these sisters, children at the time, won me over with their 25 minute set. Everything was going wrong....the singers mic stand was broken and at times she was practically on her knees singing and playing. The click track went out, so the band was playing truly by memory and the seat of their pants. Pau's rented kit was coming apart at the seems, but did they freak out or panic? Far from it. The smiles on their faces seemed to get bigger and they powered through a blistering set of all original songs. In the five years since, Dany Pau and Ale have earned my adoration musically and my trust as human beings. I am a fan for life.

I saw the Pau at 10 video and it blew my mind. Then I saw a drum teacher review the same video and he was super impressed. Not just her technique but he said her timing was spot on. Then he commented on her power. I had seen the original Enter Sandman. Cover about 4 yrs ago. Then I got a notice to check out their Ted talk in 2017. I was hooked right then and there.

The Warning have 46 original songs spanning three albums and one EP. They also have a cover of Enter Sandman that is a reimagining of the song that they collaborated on with pop singer Alessia Cara, kind of fitting since they did a cover of Enter Sandman when they were just getting started that went viral and created the spark they needed to start gaining and following. Their first two albums, XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene were financed from the proceeds of concerts and Patrons and produced as independent artists. In 2020 they were signed by Lava Republic Records to a five-album deal after seven months of negotiations. Error is the first album under their contract and it was recorded in New Jersey during the Pandemic and was produced by the awarding-winning David Bendeth. They are the first Latin American band to sign with a major US label. All three of them are bilingual and they compose their songs in English, for the most part. They all play piano. In addition to their instruments, Ale (bass guitar) and Dany (lead guitar) also know how to play saxophone, though they have yet to incorporate the instrument into any of their songs. They have two songs that were written in Spanish, "Narcisista", which is a song that was released as a single only, and "Martirio", which appears on their latest album, Error. "Money" is also from the Error album. The more you explore The Warning the more you will fall in love with them and their music. They are very down-to-earth and fiercely supportive of one another. They handle their touring as a family, with their father, Luis, and mother, Mony, working with them as co-managers along with Rudy who is their manager. Rudy worked on several Hollywood films including Titanic. He has also helped produce their music videos. The Warning has been a group for over ten years at this point, so the first thing that strikes new listeners is just how good they are to still be so young.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18. In 2022 the did over 100 gigs in North and South American along with Halestorm and Three Days Grace. They recently did four shows with Muse. They are all three classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale can play sax. All three sing lead and background vocals. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015. The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 18) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 21) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 23) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsing for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on KZbin and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica album. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song... On October 8th, 2021, The Warning released six songs that were recorded for the new album on an EP titled Mayday with the remaining 6 songs to be released at a later date. Their forst show was on Saltillo Mx followed by a short set openning for Mammoth WVH in Las Vegas, NV and another short set opening for Sammy Hagar in Austin Tx at the SXSW Festival. You mentioned Halestorm leading you to them. the performance where Lzzy Hale first saw them was in August 2020 when they participated in a live virtual charity concert for De(Tour) sponsored by Morrison Hotel Gallery and Rolling Live Studios & benefitting NIVA and MusiCares. This video was recorded in their home studio they refer to as "The Warning Cave". Great reaction Shannon and Chuck! The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 2 more times during the 6 shows I attended on their recent North American MAYDAY Tour. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. They are really good. They are 3 sisters from Monterrey Mexico. Dany (guitarist) is 23, Pau (drummer) is 21 and Ale (bassist) is 18. They brought out their 3rd studio album out last year. All 3 sisters can play the piano and sing, altough Ale just does backing vocals. Pau has some lead vocal (parts) in some songs too. I listened to “Choke” but held off on hearing more because I was gonna go to a Halestorm x The Pretty Reckless concert and thought that perhaps the warning would be an opening act since Halestorm was promoting them and they’re from Mexico, which is relatively close to where the concert was held in AZ. I’m glad I waited and saw them perform live so early into my time listening to them :)

The drummer Pau (Pow) is not just a killer groove stomper, but she also sings leads, and is their primary songwriter. Great reaction, so glad you liked The Warning! The Warning Army is a huge community of fans that love The Warning. Many reactors see and feel the support when they dive into The Warning catalog. But if you want to go on a journey, listen o their second album Queen of the Murder Scene in order. Whether reacting or just listening for fun, you really ought to just listen to their entire catalog. It is amazing. From the *Escape the Mind* EP they wrote at 9, 12, and 14, to their *Error* album that dropped in 2022, you'll see genius at work. There is a lot of "special" going on there. Don't miss all their live concert videos on their channel. This is one band that is often better live than in the studio. Their behind the scenes videos are hilarious and heart-warming. Other bands have nothing but positive things to say about them. They can become an obsession.

This concert was in Mexico, opening for the Foo Fighters. Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins died about 10 days Later. They all played Classical piano by 6yo. They all sing. Pau and Dany sing lead. Ale can if Dany is under the weather. Lzzy Hale gave Dany a Gibson Explorer like her's on the tour with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, The Warning, and Lilith Czar. All girl fronted bands.
