LYRICS:
You don't really wanna be like me
A false pretension of being complete
You don't really wanna understand
What it's like to have blood on your hands
You don't deserve the throne, the crown is mine
And I really don't plan to resign
You don't really wanna lose the fear
Dare to try and then suffer, my dear
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
And I don't wanna destroy ya
Open your eyes 'cause you can't even see the fact
That I just can't be controlled by
Anything, but let's see you try
I'm a machine, no emotion
A perfect scene for the murder queen
You can't always kill what's immortal, but
It just doesn't apply to me
Give me something worth living for
My words are what make everything burn
It's not something I like to conceal
I have no mercy and I never will
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
Korosu, korosu, koro, korosu, korosu, koro
And I don't wanna destroy ya
Open your eyes 'cause you can't even see the fact
That I just can't be controlled by
Anything, but let's see you try
I'm a machine, no emotion
A perfect scene for the murder queen
You can't always kill what's immortal, but
It just doesn't apply to me
And if you wanna destroy me
Open your eyes 'cause you can't even see the fact
That I just can't be controlled by
Anything, but let's see you try
I'm a machine, no emotion
A perfect scene for the murder queen
You can't always kill what's immortal, but
It just doesn't apply to me
It just doesn't apply to me

This is the title song for their concept album, which tells the story of a girl who goes from unrequited love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then the battle for her soul against her evil side. And more murders. Here, Dany sings the evil side of the girl's personality, but then Pau (who sings the good side) chants 'korosu'. Apparently she is coming over to the dark side.

Definitely sounds like a horror film. Knowing The Warning and the way they write songs, we're sure that even the concept has a lot of subtext behind it. They are amazing musicians and songwriters. Looking forward to the next time we cover their work. Absolutely awesome!

Absolutely love your take on this song. It’s absolute proof of The Warnings incredible writing style. The song is the Title track of their concept album and is basically the crescendo of that story. BUT TW always write in a way that the listener can find their own story within the lyrics. & that may well change as the listener changes. To quote Dany (which I always do) “no one has the exact experiences as you, no one will ever think exactly as you do”. They create the song but it belongs to the listener. To quote Dany again (told ya) “Music is that one companion that will always know exactly what you’re feeling. Music is passion. Music is hope. Music is life.”

Tengo 54 años y he escuchado álbumes conceptuales geniales... QOTMS es una obra para los clasicos de la sala del Rock... Está al nivel de concepto de "Dark Side Of The Moon" o "The Wall", pero del lado obscuro y siniestro. Bien clasificado para el genero del Metal

The song might feel a bit disjointed from the rest of the concert is probably because this song is from the Concept album "Queen of the Murder Scene". The song fits into that whole story very well. Worth watching the QOMS concert itself (Lunario) in order to get the full story.

While Pau is the instigator for most of the songs, in an interview they spoke about having to rework a lot of these songs because there was too much killing! So Dany and Ale contribute into reworking the songs. They've also said songwriting decisions are based on a vote so 2 out of the 3 decide and sometimes that frustrates Pau. They have also mentioned that they all contribute opinions on what they are playing. Ale's bass lines have contributions from Pau and Dany etc etc. 😁

For QOTMS lyrical context, you have to listen to the entire Concept LP from the beginning. Starts with a Prologue (Dust to Dust), then 4 chapters with 3 songs each. This is the last song from Chapter 3. It makes more sense when listened to in order.

Because we do reactions on the channel, we do not listen to albums until AFTER we react to all the songs that come from it, so listening to full albums has not been on the card for us much lately. As a result, we react to songs as a stand-alone piece and it is probably a better reaction for it... we hope 😉 We work from a request list. Requests come from comments and from Buy Me A Coffee (those get bumped up to the top of the line). When requests come in, they go an a list and we work from it, so in order to prevent us from hearing songs ahead of doing a reaction for them, we altogether avoid listening to albums we have not heard before. We look forward to covering more songs from this album, though, as it sounds absolutely awesome and a few are already on our request list! In any case, we love the song and we love The Warning. Just an amazing band! Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated! 🙏

I get it, but this entire Concept LP is done in concert (Lunario), and in order, and can be done one song at a time. I guess once you get all 13 songs requested/paid for someday, you can go back at your leisure, and watch it in order, to get the full meaning as meant to be. IMO concept LP's should be treated differently than normal LP's that the order doesn't matter.@@myindieprodentertainment

I have often said that one of the awsome unintended cosequences of writing a concept album that is so dark is that a first time listener will hear a random song from the album and the lyrics and think to themselves WTF is this person going thru that produced this song witch causes them to dig a little deeper lol so love watching this play out with you guys :)

Absolutely! While we are aware of that this song comes from a concept album, we work hard NOT to know what the concept is about or hearing any other songs (until we react to them, that is). It just makes things more interesting when hearing a song for the first time while doing a reaction. At least we hope so 🙂 This only adds to how much we love this band. They are amazing! The first time I heard this song I was also not totally aware of the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. I was like WTF is this. I couldn’t see what everyone was talking about. After I finished going through all their material I finally came back and listened to QOTMS front to back straight through and it clicked how perfect it fit in the story. As time has passed this has gone from a WTF song to a TW favorite. I now know all the nuances and understand and appreciate the concept and the elements this song brings. I love watching people react to TW and appreciating them as I did when I found them. The only problem with reaction channels is they can’t dedicate time to one band generally so they only get a cursory appreciation unless they take the time to dig away from the reactions.
@myindieprodentertainment
@myindieprodentertainment 6 ай бұрын
Agreed. Problem is, if we "dig" to deep away from reactions, it actually "corrupts" the reaction and becomes more of a "review". Not knowing a lot about specific songs (or even bands) makes reactions more authentic and interesting... we think 🙂 Also, had we read up on this song and concept album, listened to other songs from it, etc, it would have changed this reaction episode completely and probably removed some of the interpretations we came up with on this first-time listen. We hope this system works and perhaps after we get through all the songs from this (or any other) album, we'll do album review episodes. But you are correct in saying we "can’t dedicate time to one band generally" as we are not a The Warning reactions channel. We react to songs by request from our audience, which is varied and are fans of many bands. We are toying with dedicating certain weeks to certain bands and that way covering more from a band/artists more quickly, but it does take away from giving attention to other bands/artists. If we eventually get to become big enough and go full-time doing this, we will review these ideas again. Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated! 🙏

Great reaction guys. I always enjoy your attention to the lyrics/poetry. For us longtime TWA members, this song makes sense to us in the context of the story from the concept album from which the song comes. In that context, the psychotic/murderous alter ego of the principal character has won, taken, over and is touting her power over the young woman and over others, including the cops. As you note though, DPA write poetically and purposely leave room for listeners to find their own meaning. Without knowing about the Queen of the Murder Scene concept album, your interpretation(s) are insightful and interesting takeaways for alternate meaning from the song. Cheers.

It is always interesting to watch someone experience the songs off of the Queen of the Murder scene album for the first time without knowing the context of the song. This Album is a concept album, telling the story of infatuation, obsession, murder and madness, and this song happens quite far into the album, so it is no wonder that you couldn't grasp the meaning behind the song immediately. To truly experience the songs from this album in the right way you really need to listen to the songs in order starting with Dust to Dust, the prequel/intro to the story. In my opinion this album is perhaps their best, or maybe equal to Error.

Pua , the drummer , is the mastermind behind the queen of the murder scene concept album. Apparently, it was so dark ,the 2 other sisters had to help tone it down it bit. I saw in a blog that typically Pua writes the lyrics to most songs and then presents them to the sisters, and they all 3 build the song from there . All 3 play a part and have a say on bas , drums and guitar. At least thats how they did it on previous albums , i think the newer songs like " More" ,they are collaborating with outside help . I know one of the new songs they played at the pepsi center was written with help from a Muse band member. Queen of the murder scene is almost a rock Oprah. When they played the album in a show ,the screen behind Pau helps the lyrics play out with cool illustrations. Dany dresses, sings, and plays the dark side and pau sings the good side in different songs. Its just brilliant how 3 young teens came up with such a brilliant album.

Our early reference to "aggressive" was about the pace. There was something slower and more methodical about it. We were still trying to get an impression and form our thoughts at that time. As the song went along, we sharpened that, saying that it was the darkest and perhaps heaviest song we've heard from them so far, so it's plenty aggressive, just a different kind of aggression. This song was somewhat of a rollercoaster ride for us and we loved it. TW has become one of our favourite bands to react to. Just awesome! Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Interesting that you talked about don't stand in my way, don't try to stop me. Some record labels earlier in their career wanted them to change their music, style, etc, TW refused to do so and remained independent artists. They negotiated w/Lava Records for 7 months before signing to retain creative control over their music and image, and to keep their Patreons. Others will tell you about their concept album. Nice reaction! 🙌🤘

Yes, many told us about the concept album and how it needs to be listened to in order, etc., to make sense of it, but we work off of requests, so we do them in the order they come in. We'll have to save listening to the full album until after we get through most of the songs from it and, as some seem to express here, "make fools of ourselves". Lol. Ey, amigos. Como solo The Warning sabe contar.

Hey guys! This is the title track from their second album "Queen of the Murder Scene"(2018) or QOTMS. A concept album, that tells a dark story, and must be listened to in order.. To get the full effect, watch them do it live! To really get a full sense of how talented The Warning is, check out the first album, "XXI Century Blood"(2017) or XXICB. Do live versions to get the full passion and effect from these songs. The album versions are good, but, to be honest, they were done independently on a low budget and they aren't well produced, IMHO. But their songwriting is so amazing for their young ages, it still baffles me how they could be that good already at such young ages. I highly recommend going back into their past material. Enjoy! Rock On! my friends!

And don't get me wrong, both of you were very lucid in your analysis and intelligent opinions, as is your custom, but I would have loved to meet them if you had the correct information. We understand what you are saying, for sure. But had we "researched" songs before reacting to them and know all about them, the reactions would be less of a "reaction" and more of a "review". Most of our audience have expressed they prefer us to react to songs this way and we find it more interesting to do the reviews "blind" and see where the songs take us. It is more of a rollercoaster ride at times, but it is more exciting for us, and it seems, also for most of our audience. We are trying to keep reactions to first-time listens, where possible, and not to look at lyrics or read about background before the reaction as we believe it might do away with some potential interpretations and genuine reactions to the material. We understand what you're saying, and it is simply a matter of preference with you preferring to see "reviews" of songs, but that is to exactly what we do. In any case, we love The Warning and believe not knowing about this song's background made it more interesting for us and for most of our audience as our response and understanding of the song was unfolding in real-time without previous knowledge and information. We hope you enjoyed our "disoriented ramblings" somewhat anyway 😉 We are now considering changing the name of the show from "Babble On" (which is already a hint of what we do) to "Disoriented Ramblings" 😆 Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated! 🙏

This is what happens when you just pick a song knowing nothing about it. This song is at least 6 years old and from a concept album that does indeed tell a story. A very dark and complex story that is completely different than their most recent stuff. Every The Warning song has substance and the new ones stand on their own. This song is one little slice of the concept album pie and can only be understood when you consume the entire album and pay attention to what is happening.

Less aggressive? Huh? I would say that it's one of their most. If you mean pacing or speed, like versus Evolve, etc, then yeah. It's a story and not a song for radio, thus no "hooks". They have others like that as well. Think of all of the different songs that Led Zeppelin has that do that.

It took us a little time to get our ears around it, but we did comment about it being a "pace" thing. We said this song was darker and perhaps the heaviest we've heard from them thus far. We actually love that this was a little different to most of their songs that we reacted to thus far as it gave us a whole new appreciation and introduced us to a slightly different side of the band. By the end, we were loving this song and enjoying the rollercoaster ride that it was in trying to interpret the lyrics. This kind of challenge just adds to the experience. We are actually glad we did not about the concept album before reacting to this song. It made for a more interesting experience, we believe. TW are an awesome band! There is not one song that we've heard from them so far that we didn't love. We look forward to getting to more tracks from this album. Stay tuned! Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Please read this comment all the way to the end. Because it might sound like it's not about warning but it is very much about the warning. I don't know if you've ever heard of a singer named dimash? He's a male singer who has like an 8 octave range or maybe it's 8 1/2 I'm not sure he can sing male and female parts of operas shit nlike that. He is current to date the best singer on the planet. The first time I ever listen to him was in a song called SOS which he sang in French and there were no subtitles and I watched that thing 30 million times. That's a little exaggeration but not by much. He sings it in French and and his voice is so powerful and so engaging you could tell pretty much what the song is about and what I'm saying is that the warning has 3 songs in Spanish but every time I've listened to the song I never know what it's about and it was just great being engaged by the warning, just like demash in that sense. So what I'm saying is you guys should check out 1 of their Spanish songs, martirio, narcissista, and 'Que mas quires, they're all in Spanish and when it's done you know you just heard a story even though you didn't know 1 word of it and still it grabs you and it's great and you listen to it the whole way through so check out 1 of those songs. On a side note do you know who the Warning Army is. It's all of us, you guys included so enjoy and welcome to the Army.

I'm glad you don't look up '''the meaning''' of a song because I agree, this one is quite difficult to parse and the struggle is enjoyable because the music and lyrics are enjoyable. I really like your take on what this means, and I think, in a sort of parallel and subconscious way, you're right. In this sense it sometimes should not be weighted too heavily what an artist *says* a song means but rather just take that as another piece of information in discovering the meaning for yourself. There's also this sort of fantasy element to the song, like the girl is imagining being powerful, imagining unleashing hell, rather than merely revealing her character and inner struggle. It's a wish, in a way, to be so dark, to be immortal, to 'not care'. What teenager have you not heard say "I don't care!" in a broody way, when really they do care but are conflicted? Yeah Dad, "I'm a machine, no emotion!". Sure, sure sure.
@myindieprodentertainment

Absolutely! That makes plenty of sense as an interpretation. We also believe, being artists ourselves (filmmakers), that generally artists create and let the creation take on a life of its own and can (and generally does) mean different things to different people rather than just "what the artist meant". It's easy to read an article or interview and hear an artist explain what their creation means to them, but it's also interesting and rewarding to try to work it out on your own and sometimes find potential meanings which were not thought of before. Thank you so much for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated!

@@Biomirth We can't really claim to be experts on the topic, but we might be able to discuss this from our point of view> The funny thing is that for us this happened organically. We started just by reacting to the music, but having somewhat analytical minds and coming from a visual medium, our conversation very quickly strayed to interpretations and analysis of the lyrics and presentation as a whole. Most viewers seemed to enjoy it, so we embraced the approach and kept ahead with it. Audience response has been mixed, but mostly great, and we are definitely enjoying it.
@Biomirth

@@myindieprodentertainment yeah I felt the organic development here, which made it even more interesting. What do you do with a mystery? How do you enjoy art? I think some sort of treatment of how to personalize rather than grasp for explanations, from artists, would be a great thing to explore. Sure, maybe the average listener/viewer isn't interested, yet, but there are always people on the fence, ready to enjoy art for themselves, but who are still captured by the idea that someone else's (the artist's usually) conception is what they should try to jam in their head. Fertile ground I say!

You should really react to the entire Lunario concert where they premiered the entire album in order. You will enjoy and get much more of the meaning compared to jumping around the order of the songs in "The Queen of the Murder Scene" album.

We do songs from requests in the order they come in. This song was requested, so we did the reaction. While, at the moment, it is unlikely that we will do a reaction to a full concert in one episode (we are not monetized/full-timers and try to divide our time between ALL bands and songs that are requested), many songs from this album are on our request list, so we will likely cover them in future episodes and will attempt to do them in order as much as possible (paid requests coming through Buy Me A Coffee get bumped up in the order, though I don't believe we've had many TW songs requested through there so far). First of all big Congrats to Pau for winning Rock Drummer of the Year 2023, Whooooooohoooo!, 2nd, guys guys, your gonna have to throw that line away, “This doesn’t sound like a Warning song”, you cannot categorize the Warning to just one genre, if you did it would be a rock and roll band, because they cover many genre styles. And 3rd this was wrote for a horror concept record, a physiological thriller of a wanting love turned bad, and this performance was done flawlessly to portray what the Queen of the murder scene record is about. And last my own two bits is if your gonna try to relate to the meaning of the song get some in-site before from the comments or read the lyrics before hand then you don’t look like bafoons trying to interpret the meaning when all the fans are sitting hear rolling their eyes, and nodding their heads at how wrong you are, this song isn’t open to interpretation it’s a script to a movie!…😂 but hey still love you guys…
@myindieprodentertainment
@myindieprodentertainment 6 ай бұрын
Well, first absolutely congrats to Pau! She's an amazing drummer and so the award is very much deserved. Second, We said "it doesn't like the Warning songs we've reacted to SO FAR", which is true. We only discovered TW when doing this show and so we've only heard the songs we have covered, which are all in our TW Playlist which is linked in the pinned comment. Third, kind of relates to the second, we try not to know much about the songs before we react to them in order to keep the reactions genuine and authentic. If we researched all the songs before we react to them it would be more of a "review" than a "reaction". Fourth, if we read the lyrics before reacting... see point three. Also, Daniela herself apparently expressed that ALL their music is open to interpretation and the real meaning of their songs is what the listener takes from them, as is the nature of art. We look at the lyrics more as poems that can have multiple meanings and we try to find meanings which might be hidden in subtext during the reaction/s. Such is our process and if we "look like bafoons trying to interpret the meaning when all the fans are sitting hear rolling their eyes, and nodding their heads at how wrong (we) are", so be it. Some here seemed to enjoy it, so we'll stick with it. Not every song has only one meaning and, as long as they makes some kind of sense and are in some way interesting, all interpretations can be interesting if well thought out. But hey, we still love you all back, even when you ridicule us 🙂 so... thank you for taking the time to view and engage. We appreciate it! 🙏
