Actually being at a show when Ale sings lead is the holy grail for TWA. The second is when Pau comes out from behind the drums.

Hey - I was AT this show in NYC. They played two consecutive nights. And after the first show, Devon O'Connor (who was a musical warmup for them the first night, but also the Director of A&R for Lava Records) told the head of Lava, Jason Flom, that they were the real deal. He came on the second night and was blown away. They then spent months negotiating their deal with the label. You can see the behind-the-scenes of this if you watch their "Mayday in the Making" docu-series on their KZbin channel.

@@musikbyjh Another "fun fact" for you to keep in mind. Ale's birthday is December 13, 2004. This show was in the first week of December in 2019. That means she was 14 at the time ... about to turn 15. And a natural introvert. Amazing. I highly recommend you checking out either "Mayday in the Making" or check out The Warning's "Tidal Rising" documentary (about 20 mins long) from the music service Tidal. Easy to find on YT. Here's my analysis of Ale and singing. She shy. She's a kind of perfectionist. Her sisters are first-class vocalists who like singing. She stays pretty busy holding down the basic parts of their songs. There's not much incentive to get out there. Also, she reportedly has perfect pitch. People mistake what perfect pitch does for you. It doesn't make you sing on pitch. It does make you hear when you aren't. As a perfectionist, it drives her crazy. To her it's cringy. To me... I love it. She has a sort of alt punk feel that I think would be a great addition. It would even allow for some style variation in their writing. This is what I think. Belt it out Ale.

That is a perfect explanation of Ale’s conundrum. I personally believe Ale has every bit of natural singing ability that either of her sisters possess but for her own reasons hasn’t chosen to develop or draw attention to. Ale can mirror both of her sisters vocally which is why her harmonies are important to the bands overall harmonizations. On the 3 newest songs Ale’s backing vocals have taken a much more important role. I can’t imagine TWA’s response if Ale ever decides to sing lead on a song written especially for her to sing. Heads will explode!

@@mjc1389 Pau voice is raspy in her lower range so to does Ale in her lower range has a huskier or sexier and silky sound but when she goes higher in her range it's a mirror of Dany's so I can see why you say she mirror's her sisters .

Jeremy, I know I came here for Warning Wednesday, but there is another group I found a while back that you might be interested in . A Dutch prog-rock/metal project called Ayreon. Under the direction of Arjen Lucassen, an amazing group of singers and instrumentalists have put together several rock operas and one amazing live show. If this sounds interesting, you might start with "The Day That the World Breaks Down". I expect you will know many of the performers. The two of you might really enjoy this.
@lonelywind3511
@lonelywind3511 10 ай бұрын
Jeremy: Note that Ayreon is a project with many participants rather than a group with a fixed lineup. Depending on the song Floor Jansen, Marko Hietala, Simone Simons, Brittney Slayes, Tommy Karevik, Russell Allen.... All sorts of artists flock to the studio to participate in songs Arjen creates. The Day That The World Breaks Down is a good introduction since that one uses 11 lead singers pulling from many different bands around the world.

I watched an excerpt from a souncheck on the American tour where Dani and Pau encouraged Alê to sing the vocals for Dust to Dust... She didn't want to but ended up giving in. I was impressed by how perfectly she replicated Dani's voice in the song... I only believed it was her singing because Dani was far from the microphone and smiling a lot. Alejandra has a beautiful voice but to sing in her sisters' tone she has to force it a lot, she doesn't feel comfortable. She is adorable !

Once Ale truly believes her voice is another instrument, everything will change. Right now she is rushing getting each note out. That pulls the pitch and destroys breath control. And still, she sounds really good!

This was a special night in TW's Lore. They did 33 shows in 2019. The very last two shows that year was in NYC, on December 3rd & 4th. On the first night at The Mercury Lounge, An A&R Executive Named Devon O'Conner was in the audience, and was floored at what she had just witnessed. She talked her Boss, the Owner & CEO of Lava Records, to join her on the 2nd night, on Dec 4th. They played 19 songs, and had a guest performer join them for one of them. Well, as luck would have it, Dany the lead singer was performing under the weather, and asked her youngest sister Ale, to give her voice a short rest, and sing a song for her. Ale knocked it out of the park to a sold out show, in front of her peers, her family, her crew, and the Record Executives. Lava approached them and negotiations began for a contract. 7 months after, they emerged as the only Mexican Rock band to ever be signed with a major American Label. Fun Fact: The very next day, DPA went to a private recording studio, and recorded 20 individual Records for a lucky few Patrons. They each got a one of a kind, personalized Vinyl LP recording, of their hugely popular single Narcisista. They did that while still feeling sick, and before they went home to Mexico, after the tour was over.

We all hope to hear more singing from Ale, but in the past she has been pretty adamant about hating to sing lead but who knows what the future holds. Ale has also sang the song Hunter on occasion, to help Dany rest her voice. I'm sure TWA will know better than I, but the most recent singing that Ale has done that I can think of is their Toronto 2023 show, where she sang 2 songs that night, which is rare/never happens. Also, I think this is the show that motivated Lava to enter negotiations with The Warning to sign them to their label, which took 7 months - the girls actual read the contract proposals...

This is the rumor going around about Ale singing this song at the second show. As you read in other comments, Jason Flom and Devon were at the show and Jason asked if the bass player sang. I don't believe Red Hands was played on the first night, and it was added in the setlist, mid show. Ale singing was a key selling point on Jason wanting to sign the band. I think it is true, because it is believable. And if not, it is great folklore!

Agree that Ale is probably even better now, and we are most likely tens of thousands who would love to hear Ale singing new stuff. Just compare with Dani. We where floored hearing her on the Mayday EP, and thought she had made a big leap. Even to the point it would be difficult to imagine it getting noticeably better. And then she gave us the early teaser of HYCAD at Pepsi Center 😲🤯. So yes, just coz they allready are awesome, doesn't mean they won't excell even more. Just it might be a bit difficult to imagine just how good they will get when nearing their full potential. 🤩

There's also times in the past where she's had to cover for Dany with other songs when Dany's been sick, had technical difficulties, or suddenly forgot the lyrics mid-stream which Pau has helped with sometimes too but they're so professional, they don't miss a beat with that certain circumstance.⚠⚡⚡⚡

Someone else said that while Alé may have perfect pitch to be able to tell when others are off, it may not work so well when she's singing herself. I'm guessing it's pretty noisy on stage during a performance, and their "in-ears" may not include their own voices so it may be hard to tell (and NO AUTOTUNE! God forbid). I don't know if any of that's true. But I did notice on the latest Alé rig rundown that one of the few pedals she uses for her bass is a digital tuner that she stressed using to tell her whether her bass is on pitch or not. She may need it or she may just want everything she does to be perfect. I suspect, as with most people, it's a combination of several things that explain why she doesn't sing lead more often. She sings wonderfully when she does, and that's what we care about. Yea Alé! Yea The Warning!

Ale is my new favorite! I love her singing voice , its very deep but still very feminine. Her tone is definitely not over the top and somthing that most people can relate too.

Noticed one cool little detail. In this clip Ale seems to be singing "up" into the mic. A bit like Lemmy from Motörhead. He often had his mic placed higher than most. Always looked cool imho. Might be because Ale was still rocking out and bending her knees, just like she does when she doesn't sing lead in this song. And thus the mic came to be a bit high. Anyway... just a really insignificant detail that just made her look even cooler to me 😎🤘

If you want the best one live that Ale sang in my opinion is this one. This is when The Warning opened up for Stryper. This isn’t current but I think it’s the best recording of her. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZWkanuXqaeDmZosi=wgRFdACJ3fOA5xKQ There is one a lot more current. She sang in Toronto I think 2023. The song was Hunter. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3_GgWxtfbibndUsi=h7yT2SerWXd45yGO

There are several videos of Ale singing this song and Hunter, some more recent, but there are also older videos of her singing River Soul from their first full album XXI Century Blood. She mostly sings when Dany's voice needs some rest.

Ale has perfect pitch. This means she can hear a note and name it, for anyone unfamiliar with the term. It has no connection to the ability to sing. She has trouble singing in pitch and is the first one that knows she's not in tune. She's not avoiding singing because she's shy. She's performed in front of close to a million people.

You've probably already heard these facts about Ale, but she is beyond human. She has perfect pitch, she has the largest vocal range of the three, and she has perfect timing. She also started playing live, at 9, within weeks of picking up the bass. She fell on stage without missing a note. And when she was maybe 13 her bass strap broke on stage at Whiskey A Go Go and so she held it up with her leg for several minutes before someone grabbed her a chair, because her playing was still perfect. I want to be her when I grow up.

There´s a more recent one of the same song titled "THE WARNING in 4K - Red Hands Never Fade (ALE vocals) - TORONTO@The AXIS Club - AUG 13 2023 - FANCAM" from the channel of "sesipro (@sesipro)" and another great one where she sings "Hunter" in the same channel named "THE WARNING in 4K - Hunter (ALE vocals) - TORONTO@The AXIS Club - AUG 13 2023 - ERROR Tour - FANCAM". And to round it off, a version where she is younger and singing "Hunter" can be found under the title "The Warning - Ale Hunter (Special Edition/ Edición Especial)" from a channel named "Renaissance Man (@TheNewrocksound), I personally love the way she sounds in this last one, and how fierce she looks!... Another great reaction from you!!! 👍👍🤘🤘

You can hear Ale's most recent vocals if you surf through the fancams of Hell You Call A Dream. Ale belts out the chorus near the end of the song. It's kind of odd that she only does the one chorus, but she belts it out like she was singing lead. Most of the fancams missed it, but there are a couple who got her in frame. Sorry, I don't know which ones.

Its funny, I was just driving home from work, listening to the error album, and I found myself wondering if Ale will take the lead, or at least sing more on the upcoming album. Then, a Warning Wednesday of Ale singing Red Hands Never Fade when I get home? Coincidence??? Is it a sign??? Prophesy???

Mercury Lounge is a glorified walk in closet. They crammed 200 people into a tiny venue that is meant for jazz ensembles ( I think). Night one the sound was muddy ( the girls overwhelmed the system). by night two, the venue had things figured out.

You can tell from these early shows that Ale was definitely being groomed to sing lead . Why wouldn’t she be? Following the lead of her big sisters but for whatever reasons Ale put the brakes on this. Good for Ale following her own path.

A few things to consider regarding Ale' (and please don't take this as a jab at you- simply information). She chooses not to sing lead period. That's all we need to hear. There are no songs written for her to sing lead on. She does sing lead when Dany is sick or needs a rest and there are about 3 songs that Ale' will sing lead on. She has had to jump in mid-song to sing lead a few times to cover for both Dany and Pau on different songs and she is fearless to do so. Regarding her being nervous and pitchy.... Ale' has perfect pitch. This is just not her (or her sister's) assessment but proven through other videos of her very young practicing with her bass/vocal coach Pablo. She is also the human metronome, according to both sisters. Pau complains that she (as the drummer) should be setting the timing but Ale' looks over at her and tells her she is out of time and Pau has to accept it. Ale' NEVER plays a wrong note on that bass. She is not human. Of the 3 she may be the most persistent to be perfect but yet the most demure and laid back on stage. She is very talkative in general but does not seek the limelight.... and don't take her picture without asking or you will get that Ale' death stare! She is the glue that smooths out the other 2 sisters and during tense times and she has written a couple of The Warning's songs on her own. Take Me Down (When she was about 10 years old) and Dust to Dust are her creation. She authored them and then the 3 finalized them.

I swear It's like a running gag that her mic is always turned down. lol I think she also sang lead on Hunter as well... She has said that she 'hates singing.' As an introvert, I get not wanting to be the center of attention.. despite all that, the sisters refer to her as a machine.. She's a human metronome that rarely messes up. She also has untrained perfect pitch. So she could do whatever she wants.. if she wants. lol

Ale is the cutest thing ever, but let me remind you from their Mayday documentary (on their channel), according to the sound engineer: Ale may be the most reserved, but she's also the most animated. Also, the time he criticized their English pronunciation Ale from the other room shouted "Yeah, your Spanish SUCKS". She's so fierce and underestimated. Her bass playing alone should shut up anyone but if you give her a chance, she'll shut you up herself!

Yeah,its a weird dichotomy here,when Ale was younger you definitely heard her vocals,but people say its her age too (not an excuse,as both Dany and Pau sang at that same age),and they go on about Ale having perfect pitch -mrans nothing if you dont want to handle lead vocals,and Ale is very comfortable just being in the pocket doing what she does. Theres been a sort of prolonged period where its sounded as if her vocals have been turned down a bit in the mix,and that may be her request,as I think her vocals have changed a bit ...thats natural,and its happened with both Pau and Dany,where you can definitely tell their voices have matured - Danys got the best vocal range by far,but I prefer Paus. If Ale does want to finally do a song up front,it'll be interesting,but Im quite happy with what she does now - I just wish she'd tackle another older song,if she has to,as theres only two that she does cover - this song and "Rivers Soul"
