I think this performance added more fans then Enter sandman did. Pau has a history of breaking drumsticks. There are 3 or 4 videos of her pounding the drums with a bare hand until she has time to grab a replacement.

Yes, Ale plays the piano, and they ALL do ;-) They all started with classical piano lessons (there are some videos of them playing on their YT channel). Dany also plays the saxophone... And speaking of piano and Pau singing, there's a great cover of her covering Creep by Radiohead filmed at home with her smartphone, it's worth to react to it !!

The industry people they met with wanted to tell them how to dress and told them they had to be less rock and more pop. I'm sure you can imagine how those things go. They said no to all offers and eventually after 7 months of negotiations signed a 5 record deal with Lava records and retained 100% control of their music, 100% control of their image and they got to keep their Patreon with all their fans who supported them early on. This is amazingly significant when you realize that they were still all teenagers at the time and for a label to concede that much control this was truly a first. In addition they were the first band from Latin-America signed to a major US label. These ladies have unbelievable skills, songwriting abilities and are completely involved in every decision. Wise beyond their years is the understatement of the year. Plus they are the nicest people you could hope to meet. This performance has brought many grown people and seasoned rockers to tears, (even after seeing it 50 times) so you're not alone there. Thanks.

There was one broken stick. If you rewatch this, you will see that a piece of the broken stick landed on top of a cymbal. When Pau later hit that cymbal, the piece went flying. She is such a pro at this young age - the broken stick didn't phase her at all.

That's what I came here to say too.. Consider that this was in January 2017 before Dany’s and Pau’s birthdays but after Ale’s. So they were 16, 14, and 12 here. It is amazing how well spoken they are, especially little Ale who grew up to be the tallest. The first song was Unmendable. Although never confirmed, the offers they had came from Disney, Nickelodeon and Simon Cowell.

@@Mewster2331 I think when someone comes up to you and says, "That's great!! But.. we need to change your approach, and your appearance, your wardrobe..." etc. it can be a bit off-putting. It's really a form of criticism that _ignores you_ and instead indicates that they are serving another purpose than what you intend. It helped that they were already living comfortably, in an upper-middle-class household and from that perspective... much of what these "industry-types" talked about didn't make any sense in regards to what they wanted to do. When they finally entered negotiation with Lava, with it's notorious *seven months* of wrangling, many people were astonished at the level of control they wrestled out of the "industry lawyers". Being able to say "Nope, sorry, take a hike" is sort of a super power when talking about these sort of contractual arrangements. None of the ladies would have starved if the agreement fell through; nobody would have gone homeless, nobody would lose, well, anything, really. In this day and age, of digital production and distribution, they could continue this band as a friggin' _hobby_ indefinitely_ - simply based on their own skills and intelligence... even aside from the musical talents they all share. Dany could have _become_ a teacher. Pau could spit novels out like she spits out drum hits, and probably sell them, too. Ale could be... maybe a professional model. 😉😂Who knows... but they would have been successful no matter what else they did, and would probably still make music "on the side" if necessary. And they knew this - which was the key. In short, they never *scrabbled* for literal survival in this journey - they were always in a position to *demand* . And so it went, at least as we've been led to believe thus far (and I have no reason to believe otherwise). The likes of Disney and Nickelodeon from that perspective is that they are pretty shallow and pointless pools to dive in to. Yes; they have resources one could tap... but they would never be available to YOUR advantage. And that would be a deal-killer, right there. They simply aren't _needed_ for these young ladies to survive and have a fulfilling life. And they knew it. Honestly, that's really what a stable and loving family life gets you. That's the bare core of human civilization all over. Smart, sane, "normal" parents will produce kids who tend to be the same, and support them... and I believe (as they intimated in this talk) _that's_ really the driving force behind them and their dream. Family.

First theres the musicianship, then the song writing, Then we get the energy, passion, and love for what they are doing. Add in their integrity, honesty and I was hooked. Oh and the wall of sound for a three person band just had my jaw dropping. I went immediately down the rabbit hole and had to pry myself away from my computer so i could get a few hours of sleep. Great reaction guys!!! Don’t you worry, there’s plenty of videos, vlogs, behind the scenes, diaries, etc. where you’ll be able to get to know them and their music career even deeper. I’d say this is the only band that has grown up in front of the fans eyes, with a very detailed documented journey, and that’s probably one the reasons of their increasing success, not only because of their amazing talent but of their lovable personalities and charisma, each one of them in their own particular way that we are all witnessing year by year. All 3 play piano, but lately Pau is the one who uses it most specially for composition and for a few songs she sings lead. I always get emotional too in that part where Pau talks about dreams 😢 Pau just broke one stick and a chunk landed in one of the cymbals and later hit it and sent it flying away! Yes, that was the fist time the used the now famous “ You Have Been Warned! “ Looking forward to more reactions!

When I'm alone, written by homesick little Dany during their last week at Berklee College of Music summer program. She had to write a song for class due the next day and hadn't been able to come up with anything. she was missing her home and friends, and this timeless masterpiece is the result. Pau's drumming style has evolved over the years, she's more compact now and not as flamboyant. consequently she also breaks fewer sticks these days as a result. Yes, they all started their musical journeys with classical piano lessons before choosing and learning their current instruments. The world is possibly a better place because Ale chose the bass over the harp. Other good videos to learn more about their story are the Tidal Rising documentary (about 20 mins long) and their Mayday in the Making docu-series (6 videos about 5 mins each).

And Pau wore heels during this performance! (She no longer does that but still...) When she broke a stick she replaced it without missing a beat. Impressive professionalism. The "You have been warned!" tagline came early on in their careers. I'm not sure which of them came uo with the line, but I'd assume it was Pau. Gteat for marketing purposes. At the conclusion of their Music Video for the XXI Century Blood the outro slide bears the motto and is tied into plugging the sponsor what helped them finance the video. So, it might have been the sponsor's marketing company and it just stuck. But I rather thing it was something DPA innovated and the sponsor incorporated into their plug.

She did not break her sticks twice, only once. One part of the broken stick landed on a cymbal, when Pau hit that cymbal later, the broken part, jumped again, but there was only one broken stick.

Thanks for the great reaction. This was the performance that I was first exposed to, having come across them in my KZbin recommendations while watching classic rock reactions during lockdown in 2020. Still my favorite rock band today. Enjoying watching your discovery of these remarkable girls.

As if their talent doesn't impress us enough they stun us with their wise words that are well beyond their age. If your ever lucky enough to attend one of their Meet & Greet's you will see first hand why The Warning Army is so loyal. No band on the planet treats and appreciates theit fans like The Warning do. These ladies are destined for greatness. Thank you for covering our favorite ladies. ⚡⚡⚡

Pau always puts on a show herself. She's so full of energy. Ale's like 12 or 13 here! She's amazing. And of course Dani shows here why she's the best rock front-person out there now.

Pau only Broke one Drum stick, when she Broke the stick the broken Piece landed on the Symbol so when Pau hit that Symbol the Broken Piece flew up so it looked like she broke another Stick but she only broke one Drum stick, All three Sisters Play the Piano, Dany was 6 and Pau 4 when they started Taking Classical Piano Lessons and Ale started at Age 5

Pau said that Ale is actually the best pianist, at least at one point in time. Though we’ve mostly seen Pau on extended pieces.

Some information points for you. * At the time of this 2nd TedX talk they were 16, 14, and 12 years old. Yes, there is another TedX performance from the year prior (2016). * First song was Unmendable. 2nd When I'm Alone. 3rd Survive. * They all play piano. They were all classically trained in piano before choosing other instruments (around 5 - 6 years old when they started). In fact as you delve into their performances you will see each of them playing keyboard during one song or another. * Paulina only broke 1 drum stick during Survive. The broken piece landed on the cymbal and she later knocked it off when she hit the cymbal.

Great reaction - this TEDx is a really great way to get to know a bit about The Warning. And I still use it as support for saying The Warning is not going to go pop/commercial for the money or the fame - they could have done that years earlier when they were girls and not very well known. Some fans were concerned with the latest single, More, being "too pop" but hopefully the live performances of the song, especially at MTV VMAs, have allayed those fears. I believe the girls will put out the music they like and let the chips land where they will.

Great reaction! Thanks for playing the whole TedX video all at once and also getting the reaction of the audience at the end! Some reactors cut them up into individual songs and omitted their talking part. I thought they were so brave, at that age, to get up in front of a TedX audience who probably didn’t know who they were and speak so eloquently. I can’t do that now!! 🔥😊⚡️

A ton of passion for their music- incredible! Pau only broke one stick. The broken part flew off and landed on a cymbal. Later, it goes flying, when she hits it, which makes it look like a second broken stick 😂. What I don’t get is how Pau can play in heels. All 3 sisters are classically trained pianists, in addition to playing their other instruments. 😮

@@PsiBellaMusic yes Pau definitely captures your attention as a newbie with her flamboyance, then slowly as you go along your journey you’ll see what masterminds Ale & Dany are too. I was a Pau fan when I first started then Ale grabbed my attention but my favourite at present is Dany and i don’t see it changing. Dany’s passion for the band, her love and protectiveness of her sisters and her adoration of the fans is just unmatched. She’s a gem. Love all 3 of them but it’s normal to have a favorite 🤘
