I think you like all of us realize just how special this band is. They are mature and wise beyond their years. They have a deep understanding of the human condition. this is Dany's song... Ale and Pau accompany with only their instruments... no harmonies or backing vocals... the blacked out solo beginning and ending with Dany alone in the spotlight is beautiful and quite fitting for this song and what it represents... Dany wrote this back in 2015 when the girls were at Berklee Music College in Boston attending the summer session they offer(ed)... she got very homesick and also had a homework task to write a song... she hadn't any ideas, time was running out, and being homesick was devastating... she did a vlog about being homesick... afterward she realized she could harness the emotions and pain she was feeling to write her song... i haven't heard what grade she got for it but many of us hope it was an A+... Dany has also stated several times that when she writes a song, it is from her heart and whatever emotions she is feeling at the time... so here we are enjoying this truly heartfelt song of loneliness and heartache... speaking of Berklee Music College, their concert at "Liceo" (basically Spanish for "learning place" or "high school") had multiple purposes... for one purpose, the story is that they needed something to submit to Berklee showing Ale's and Pau's chops and how well they played their instruments... this because both of them were less than 15 years old which is/was the age cut off for the summer program they were wanting to attend... so each of them chose a song to show off their talents... IIRC, those songs were "Hysteria" for Ale, "Everlong" for Pau, and "Crazy Train" for Dany but i may be off on those... old brain and all that stuff LOL anyway, apparently BMC accepted their submissions because all three girls attended at the same time... while they were there they did vlogs to send to Ellen DeGeneres to keep her and her show up to date on how they were doing while at BMC... this because Ellen and Target gave each of the girls a check to help pay for them to attend the summer session at BMC... Recently the band played three very special shows in Mexico to celebrate their 10th anniversary as The Warning. For the special occasion, Dany performed this song as a solo acoustic version. In their hometown of Monterrey, about halfway into the song she was overcome by tears and had to pause to recover.

I've been to many concerts where your mind starts to wander to your grocery list or something you need to do tomorrow. I guarantee this will not happen when you see these ladies. Each one commands your attention. Charisma x10! And their songs don't shy away from adult topics -even the ones they wrote at 14 years of age. Offstage they defy all stereotypes of rockstars. Genuine funny smart down to earth people. Once in a generation we're lucky to see people like this. Thanks for coming back to them.

Hey Tom! I highly recommend seeing them live and doing a meet and greet if you go to a headlining show cuz they are awesome live and the crowd sings along with every song. They are exactly the same in person, as people, as they are online: so nice and genuine and down to earth.

It’s absolutely amazing that a 15 year old, homesick Dany could write such a poignant song. This is truly her song as you notice that she is the only vocalist throughout (not counting the crowd). Dany recently played this song acoustically, alone onstage, at 3 different venues in Mexico as part of a pro shot presentation that will likely be combined into a concert video similar to the Teatro Metropolitan show from 2022. The Monterrey version, TW’s hometown, was especially moving as Dany was briefly overcome by emotion due to the amazing crowd reaction. As a therapist I would think you’d be extremely curious as to what was going through Dany’s mind at that point? This is one of TW’s older songs and has gone through many iterations over the years of being played onstage and is definitely a crowd favorite.

This song is the most personal for Dany. While she’s shared the original story behind this song, she has also said that the meaning for her has evolved over the years. While she may no longer be the homesick 15 year old that wrote it, she still connects very deeply with this song to the point of breaking into tears mid-song in front of her hometown audience. I recommend you check out on your own that performance at Pabellon M. It is an extended acoustic version with her commentary mid-song telling us that no matter how lonely we may feel, it is ok to have those feelings but we should always face them because we are never truly alone.

I love the organic (I believe) nature of your journey. You sometimes reach a bit, we all carry our own message of hope within and some vary quite a bit but yours is definitely worth absorbing. I don't look at your channel in the same way I do just any ol' KZbin reactor. Suffice to say that I'm not surprised by your affection for this band. As I've said countless times: What is not to love with these extraordinary artists? Talent-wise, their musical stylism, their pure skill as performers, and their honesty in their messages is a combination that already puts them far above the curve with other bands, add the fact that they approach their art as both individuals and as committed teammates in a family business with an artistic vision.... So glad you enjoyed this one. I think the next song in the setlist for this concert 23 would be an interesting follow up. It's Pau's turn for sharing a revelation of some personal stuff of her own that is relatable to many. They have an April tour in Europe. I am flying from LA to see 5 of the shows and spend some time in Paris, Amsterdam, Basque country, Portugal and Madrid. Otherwise, they will probably tour the US this summer.
