The whole album is incredible. It amazes me that they wrote this and so much more music when they were so young. And Pau, she owned those drums!!

I hope TW will never lose their critical sight on society because they are the pioneers of XXI century. That's why they earned the first prizes. We saw this in ERROR (disciple, kak,error) and now on KMF (hycad, sharks).

Song with substance from the start and ever since. Remember this was released in March 2017 (month-ish after Dany and Pau's birthday and 2½ after Ale's) so they were 16, 14, 11 when they wrote/recorded it.

With everything they've come out with in the last couple of years, this still is one of my favorite Warning songs. As someone who survived long before cell phones, I find this as a commentary on society nowadays. Everyone is blindly attached to their phone and blind to the outside world.

1st album title track, released in 2017 when they were 17 15 and 12, 3 years before Noise by Nightwish. 2 teens and a preteen seeing the world in a more mature view than most their age. Written and recorded a year or so before the release, Ale had to miss some time in school to record the album, she missed part of the 4TH GRADE! They have been releasing Pepsi Center CDMX (fall 2023) songs. Yesterday the dropped "Black Holes", Pau out front on piano.

I'll have to check out some of those Pepsi Center songs! And wow, 4th grade.. I wonder what the teachers thought at the time since all of this was brand new to them. 😅

Track One, Side One, Album One, *21st Century Blood* album. Instant wow! These *kids* (17, 15, and 12 when the album was released; a year younger when they wrote most of it!) got it. This song is what made me buy all four of their CDs. Hardly a day goes by that I don't get a dose of their music. I'm 69 and I TOTALLY relate to them because my twins turn 26 next month and grew up with mice and "fondle slabs" in their hands. What an amazing band! Ironically, NO BAND does social media better than The Warning. Even as they write about it, they exploit it, and their audience, with it!
@nikkireviewsАй бұрын
They really do know how to connect with people and reach everyone with their lyrics.. No boundaries at all which is awesome. 😁 And 'fondle slabs' - that's a new one to me! 🤔😅

Many have recommended that you start going through the Pepsi Center concert videos (and I agree!). May I suggest that you start with BLACK HOLES. I can’t remember if you’ve reacted to that song before, but It’s Pau alone on piano (“alone”, but accompanied by a string (violins, cellos, etc) orchestra)…Pau showing her Genius Also…36?!! I would have guessed 28-29!

Their second music video. First was a cover of The Pretender by Foo Fighters. This video blows everybody’s mind. They were 17, 15, and 12 when they made this video. TW are storytellers. It has a running theme of several of their songs (Disciple, Z, Kool Aid Kids) concerning false ideologies on social media. The day they shot this video that temperature was over 100F (38C). The roof shots were grueling.

I loved this video because it was the most recent actual video by TW when I first found them, we had to wait untill the Errror vids started being dropped .That building is in their hometown Monterrey and the riff Dany is playing outside you see the Monterrey Mountains ,also you see them in the Foo cover they did The Pretender.Pau also earned the nickname Animal like the muppet the way she played all over with the arms,she has learned to conserve her energy for the future, its a marathon not a sprint.Always thought this lyric stood out thinking about their future in the music business "What will our future hold? Will we regret our addiction to the rush?" Thanks for TheWarning reaction never can be Warned enough with all their material they have.

Nikki, great to see you back with old school The Warning! So, with this and Queen Of The Murder Scene, which style of their music do you prefer? I love the new stuff, and sometimes get stuck in a rut just listening to it. Then I hear some of the old stuff, and it takes me back. The more I hear them the more I am convinced, they just can’t write a bad song. That’s not to say that every song is my favorite, and I like some more than others, but I can honestly say that I haven’t heard a bad song yet from them. Thanks for the review, and as others have mentioned, please check out the recent drops on their KZbin page for videos from the Pepsi Center in Mexico City late last year. Absolutely incredible!

Yes, I definitely need to check out some of the Pepsi Center performances soon. 😊 And to answer your question, I'm not sure. It's really hard to pick because they're ALL so good! But I've listened to Keep Me Fed repeatedly since it came out so that's definitely top on my list of their kinda songs.. but maybe as time goes on and I learn more of their older stuff, that will change. But yeah..Keep Me Fed is just so dang good! 🤘🏻 I think they just get better with time. Maybe that's it!

Yup, I love both Nightwish and The Warning. I have listened to Nightwish since the Tarja days, and I think the first TW song I heard was Dust To Dust, at their Lunario CDMX show, when it was fairly recently uploaded. What TW song should you react to next? Hmm, let me see... oh, that's right, everything they have uploaded so far from their Pepsi Center show! That show is beyond epic, and it would be a crime against all of humanity if it isn't released on DVD/bluray...

It's not merely addicted to phones but indoctrinated to technology as a whole from a young age, from infancy in the video. They went through their EMO / post punk phase, especially Pau. Dany still listens to Bring Me Horizon, Paramore, etc. All three are Muse fans. One of Ale's latest vinyls is a Muse album.

Still my favorite omv from them and it baffles me how well aware they were even as young teenagers. XXI century Blood is an amazing album especially considering their ages and that they were an independant band at the time. If you like to know more, and I suspect you do, about their early careers and hear three more songs from this album live check out their 2017 TedX talk (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppuYpphpgpKpbNE). A must watch for any The Warning Army member in my humble opinion!

Since you’ve done a great deal of The Warning’s discography - I see playlists for QOTMS and Keep Me Fed, and I can see some individual videos for Error, but I can’t tell if you’ve heard that whole album - you know they’ve often come back to this message of “Forget war, technology and our addiction to social media will destroy us first.”

If you haven't heard the song already, you could try out Black Holes from the Pepsi Centre CDMX performance, a song about addiction of another kind. It was released recently on KZbin, and features Pau solo on a piano with a string section in support.
