I hope I'll manage to get the funds together to visit HHA for coaching while England is still within the EU! ;) Also: more confidence, man! I believe in you! (I do maintain however that the mediterranean style you shoot is rather unsuited to horseback archery and the thumb draw is for horseback archery simply superior in every way. Also, some of the best horsebows available so far are the korean traditional bows made by Kaya. Bearpaw may have released the horseman which apparently is alright, though I myself could not test it so far.)

Wolfie, I need your help. You have shot Mohawk chief recurve and the hybrid, you have also shot the border bows Black Douglas. I would like your personal opinion on the comparison between the three. Cheers Epeemaster.

Epeemaster Bjarne I have never shot the Black Douglas, but I own a mohawk recurve and have shot the hybrid. I don't find there to be alot of difference in performance, only thing is the hybrid is quieter. I am going to increase my poundage and going with the hybrid, simply because I like the looks better. Hope this helps a little

Terry Guriel a that is usually down to test/experimentation... and matching arrows to the bow can be slightly assisted by charts but eventually comes down the the individuals shooting... What age / height / build are you?

I am 64 yrs, 6'4" tall, with a 37" shirt sleeve length. Very fit and active with a fairly muscular build

age 64, height 6' 4", build slim athletic. Got measured at a local bow store today. They recommended a recurve at 64 to 66 " length, 35 - 38 lb pull at 28", my draw length is 29" and they recommended a 30" arrow. How does this info fit with the bows you are making?
