Choosing 20% attack speed over 20% damage is actually better. The more you attack, the more on-hit effects can trigger (like crit and burn). So you'll do more than 20% extra damage

Additionally, it allows you to spread your damage more efficiently. If you deal a billion damage to one enemy when you have to fight two enemies, you’d be better off dealing just enough damage to both of them.

swordsman's hp synergizes well with that necklace that gives you more damage per hp lost. I like to stack max HP then keep my HP around 2-300 and benefit from +100-+120% damage

I hope in a future update they do something to make it a little more clear how to unlock at least the core classes.

It is Battletech/Mechwarror, that was the collectable mini game by Wizkids. Robotech was 3 different anime series chopped together and dubbed into english. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross from 1982, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross from 1984, and Genesis Climber Mospeada from 1983.

On the damage vs A.speed thing, it is usually better to just do damage x% more often than to do a same x% of damage extra. Assuming no extra mechanics, with faster small hits as you said, you can hit the "kill point" usually faster, or spread it inbetween many little enemies, and the dps would be the same on a single big target anyway! Counters to this idea are the fact that once you have a bit % extra attack speed already, adding +x% of speed is gonna be less impactful (since, adding 20% when you're already at 200% is only an extra total 10% in proportion) so it's good to scale damage too, once you do have the speed, as it will "count more", basically each point of speed you get makes damage more valuable, and each point of damage you get, makes speed more valuable. They stack on eachother! Similar to upgrading crit chance and crit damage, alone they can be good, together they become godly. Other options depends on the game mechanics, as the enemies having some kind of trigger on being hit (for example some revenge damage, or invulnerability after being hit, etc.) or just some flat damage reduction that would make small hits way less impactful. But so far, I think this game has none of these mechanics, so it's always better to chose speed first (but damage too, later).

For attack speed over damage, in this game attack speed is better not necessarily for the dps, but there are a lot of enemies in the game that take multiple hits in order to be able to defeat rather than single strike nuking. And they have to take those multiple hits no matter how much damage you deal, i.e. shields and slimes. So regardless of your dps you need attack speed or abilities that will help you hit faster because you meet hordes of those kinds of enemies and you have to get them to the point where they can actually take damage and be defeated more than you need the actual damage.

My advice to farm those items but I warn that the game will be too easy: Pace Setter boots from Cleric quest Fragile body (enough 1 healing item and on boots you don't have damage stats anyways that why its bis). Guiding Star ring from Hunter quest Forward Evermore (40% attack speed when you stand) Hunter's Garb chest from Hunter quest Taking Aim (pure 40% damage when you stand) Wind Crown head from Hunter quest Untouchable (50% attack speed) Hunting Gloves from Hunter quest Piercing Trough(more projectiles and more attacks) Duelist's Sparc neck from Shiedmaiden quest(50% damage) About second ring its mostly 10% crit chance but sometimes nice to have +10 base damage for Exterminator or Warlock. Also there is a bug or i think its a bug - when you equip ring of fire or ring of thunder OR Both rings (yes you can stack them) with leveled blessings of fire / lighning damage then damage will be much higher from basic attacks.

Has anyone else noticed that the enemies tend to respawn when they get too far away from Wander? I thought it just happened with the bosses, but some of those money-slime trails seem to show the teleporting in-action... I guess that would make range not a very valuable pickup in this game, since after a certain distance you won't hit anything - it would have teleported closer to you...

Barely into the video so far, but I wanted to let you know that you could be having a "silent migraine", where you have all the migraine symptoms _except_ for pain... I get those sometimes and they really suck, especially since it can be really hard to get treatment for
