I feel bad for Wiseman. Poole has a terrible attitude and is toxic for team chemistry, with a grossly overstated opinion of his own talent. His demise is exactly what happens when you play with generational talents and think you are the best player. Well. He’s got his chance to be the apex player on a team without generational talent. I like JP and his game but he is inconsistent at times and he tries to do too much some plays which leads to turnovers The only time he was good and consistent was the playoff series vs the nuggets in 21-22 season Wiseman shouldn’t have been drafted at number two he would be a lottery pick maybe but not top two pick I hope wiseman can go somewhere to develop and break out

2020 was a weak draft. No one immediate selected after Wiseman is making an impact aside from Ball, but drafting Lamelo with Curry and Thompson still playing at a high level. After Lamelo, you would have to jump down to #11 and #12 with Vasell and Haliburton.

I blame the Wiseman situation largely on Golden State. The kid is not quite mature enough but he was good when he first joined Golden State. I think the injuries and the subsequent benching had completely crushed his confidence. He's never the same player he once were, while you would normally expect to see improvements on young players. I think Golden State has done a poor job on young players, not only Wiseman, but also Kuminga, Moody, Poole, etc.

Sorry don't agree both Wiseman and Poole were in the G league. Poole improved Wiseman didn't. Is injury was is problem and he never recovered from it mentally. He needed to watch tapes in is spare time to perfect is game as well. Warriors are very good with young players. As long as they do the work. As a Warriors fan, I'm not really losing sleep over these "mistakes." Wiseman was always going to be chosen with the #2 pick, as the 2020 draft class was heavy on guards and we already have Steph and Klay for our backcourt. A rookie LaMelo or Haliburton on the Warriors would've just been buried on the bench and probably wouldn't have developed properly anyway. Wiseman is a bust for sure, but looking back, gambling on a center was a reasonable move. As for Poole, he was drafted 28th overall, helped us to a championship, got paid, and it went to his head. But it was pretty understandable at the time to give him his money and expect maturity and growth. In any case, we now have CP3 and GP2 who fit much better with our team than either of these players, so we're all good.
