Just found your channel. I did 3 Iraq rotations (04/06/08) and have been in LE for the last 10 years. I recently came back to Christ after years of not wanting anything to do with God because of all the bad I’ve seen and friends I’ve lost to violence both OCONUS and here due to my line of work (currently LEO). I was drinking a lot and was completely empty inside but I was doing great at work which I realized meant nothing because I made the badge my identity just like you talk about in the video and it cost me a lot. Getting back to God and the Word saved my life. Thank you for your channel, for preaching the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unashamedly. God bless you and keep going. Semper Fi

We are so blessed to have lived in this world for so long and still be seeking Jesus. He showed me a long time ago that the devils whole point of existence is to make us forget about what He did for us. Yet we are still here, and the world is nuts right now, all kinds of distractions. And most people here in this thread are seeking Him even harder. Thats so awesome. Devil better pack a lunch, this might take a while ❤

I’ll be honest I was extremely religious my whole life. God delivered me safely home through 5 Iraq and Afghanistan tours but my faith has been shattered as of late, July 5 my 17 month old boy died from a misdiagnosed lung infection. I have lived a fairly decent life in the context of this video. I have 3 other children which one is adopted who witnessed me giving cpr to their brother’s lifeless body till emergency arrived. Now I am far from naive about the brutality of the world but God having spared me on a number of occasions 2 being really severe one being about 40 lbs of HME in Afghanistan which led to 23 back and spine surgeries 2 hip and 4 jaw surgeries, 1 cardiac arrest where I flatlined and the finally revived me after a couple of minutes and being paddled a couple times to save me and to take my child who is completely innocent is mind boggling to me. So if someone has some insight for me it would be extremely appreciated. Thank you in advance if u were able to digest this comment.

Brother, first off, I don't know your hurt or pain. As a parent, I can only imagine how bad it must feel like going through the darkness of losing a child. But what I do know is that you didn't go through it alone, and God himself does know your pain for he too lost a child too. But there is joy to your story for now your innocent child is in the arms of the father, that I know for sure. Remember Paul's words, "To live is Christ to die is gain."

Brother, I can’t give you insight. I’m a veteran as well, and was spared from death many times like yourself. Years later, I was blessed with 3 children. About the time he turned 2, my oldest son developed severe autism. It wasn’t a physical death, but my beautiful baby boy lost the ability to speak and interact with the world. Every day is a struggle, and I fear for what will happen to him when I’m gone. Each day, I grieve what should have been. Your story broke my heart, and I’m sorry that all I have to offer is empathy. Here are some words from CS Lewis that help me digest the idea of God allowing us to experience pain. “suffering is not good in itself. What is good in any painful experience is, for the sufferer, his submission to the will of God, and, for the spectators, the compassion aroused and the acts of mercy to which it leads.” “We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world....No doubt pain as God's megaphone is a terrible instrument; it may lead to final and unrepented rebellion. But it gives the only opportunity the bad man can have for amendment. it removes the veil; it plants the flag of truth within the fortress of the rebel soul.” “If tribulation is a necessary element in redemption, we must anticipate that it will never cease till God sees the world to be either redeemed or no further redeemable.” Peace brother. Have faith that it will be right in the end.

““For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:8-11 NIV We love you brother. We are here with you during this pain. We are praying for you so that we can take this to the feet of Jesus and allow him to bring us peace with this. For we do not know the turmoil this brings to you heart, don’t lose your path towards Christ. We do not understand why this happens but our faith and trust in the Lord must remain as our cries do not go unheard. I wish words alone can make you feel better but I promise you that prayers are sent and that healing is on the way.

You will never know how privileged I feel right now. God protected me from so much trauma. People that died in crashes. People that died from alcohol abuse and so much more. Take comfort in the knowledge that you will be with your baby’s in heaven, for eternity. What could be better than that? God will be with you every step. Don’t give up on him, and he won’t leave you stranded.

Stay strong men the world needs good men especially now.

I train because I’m in a high risk occupation. I’m a criminal defense lawyer. I train to make sure I can defend myself and those I care about. My encounters are likely to be at very close range, and will almost certainly be primary pistol on pistol. I also train because it is a matter of when, not if, madmen or disturbed people will start attacking courthouses the way they attack schools. It’s already happened. I’m not allowed to carry in the courthouse, so I think about how I can get to my vehicle and get not just my pistol, but my PDW (Sig MPX-K) to make sure I can defend my friends and coworkers who definitely don’t take this s*** seriously enough.

@@thorsnightmare1123 I live and practice in a small college town with a population a little under 50k, and I used to be a prosecutor here, they all know me. Plus I may have, ahem, neglected to return the official DA windbreaker I was issued, so the big back lettering that says “PROSECUTOR” will hopefully be a big hint. And I routinely talk pistols, shooting, tactics, with all the bailiffs and the security deputy. Also, I’ve chatted with the security deputy that I know it’s not my place to go hunting for the shooter, rather my focus would be focused on giving armed cover to evacuating staff, my goal is to free up as many officers to take on the shooter.

Way to get to the meat of the mission set. We are called to make ourselves be better for the sake of the Kingdom. We cannot be an asset in times of trouble if we don't have ourselves squared away. We also need to fellowship and team up with those of like mind so that if we may fall, we will have someone there to lift us up as well. 'Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
