Riley is smart enough to realize that the Butler age is depleting, running thin, and is over! You won’t find anything! There has always been a reason for that. Today’s NBA is even financially tighter than the last decade. Every penny counts on both offensive and defense contributions the entire year, plus playoffs. Butler is old! (And I am even older!) Time breaks us all down. Butler’s time has passed and he has no rings to show for it. If Kerr would change his coaching techniques then we could be relevant. They won't get a true big and Curry is not the only player on the team that can score. He has to change up to stay current with the league cause GS isn't ahead anymore. The fact that Kerr gave so much patience and time in Podz but not as much in Moody is beyond me. Kerr is too stubborn in his coaching. Kerr never seems to start games well and he seems to let things go and try to figure it out later. I think personally think each player should have at least 5 plays set for them and even though Curry is the main player I don't think the offense should continually go through him first. That is how other teams are getting over on the Warriors by cutting the head of the snake (Curry). The two time line situ is what prevented the young players from developing properly and Kerr lack of playing them consistently. And yes Smitty is a hater LOL.

I would look at Zion and Chet's situation. In Zion's case, you have to find out if he wants to be an NBA professional and stop eating, be more responsible, because he has the potential to be a great player. Bro, I love you honesty. Let's say it. Steph is NOT a top 10 talent anymore. He is slow now, at 36 he is remarkable, but he is still 36. Build a team around a 36 year old?!! Let the others run the offense, use Curry's gravity to spread the defense. If they don't respect him, then he can make them pay. This team would be a young coaches dream! Other than a big, Warriors are complete. Just needs a coach that is not in love with Steph and Draymond (even Loon, who I love.). I wonder if Kerr is doing what the front office is telling him to do.
