Nice axe, but it looks drop-forged. Which I have no issues with, can't see a hammer mark on that. What am I missing?

Beautiful but that metal wedge in there is a no-go for me. Properly done a hardwood wedge is all that is needed.

High priced axe and they apply a cheap finish on that handle. That handle should be finished with pine tar.

Pine tar?! Dude blisters for days. Maybe some boiled linseed oil or some tung oil.
