Cool watch, my dad fought in the Pacific during WWII don't know if had a Hack but as a kid I remember seeing Bulovas on his dresser.

I feel that Bulova missed an opportunity to make this hand wound and really slim it down. That along with its tiny 50m WR make this a hard purchase to justify, which is a shame as it’s a looker. Maybe on sale I can justify buying it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Chris.

For those wondering why the blue face, it's because this is a reissue of the air force version. Thats also why the serial number on the caseback starts with AF. Learn your history, folks.

wow, really nice looking piece!! Miyota 8 series is fine, as long as it's the hacking one. It SUCKS that they used mineral, not sapphire though. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this on sale.

I don't understand why they did not issue one with a black dial which is close to the original A-11 watch. Also, a military field watch should not be polished but bead or sand blasted similar to the Dirty Dozen watches. Unless you want to shine to the enemy.

“Faithful recreation”?? 😅 What’s up with that blue dial? The original dials were primarily black. Never blue. I don’t get it. Bulova even reprints the case back but totally botched this up with a blue dial. A huge disappointment.

The original a-11 hack did not have any lume. And they were 32mm.

Please tell me Bulova, also have Them in Black or a Dark Grey Dial. Otherwise, It's a pass for me. Yes, the Original was 33.5 mm And Yes on the Lume - "alarm clock green" / C-3 would be fine. But like the Blue Dial, BGW - 9 is out of place, as a "Tribute" for the A -11. The Engraving on the Caseback - Make it all more, the pity. As even the Aerial Intercept & Shootdown of Admiral Yamamoto by U.S.A.A.F Pilots of P-38s is partially due to the use of an A -11. A 1,000 mile Mission - whose Approach Route was about 600 miles - All by "dead reckoning". The circumstances so unusual, that 18 Navy Crosses were awarded to the Army Pilots involved in that Mission. For me anyway, a lost opportunity.

Well I have the Seiko army watch and the strap is really good about 4 years on my wrist now this Seiko watch has been true a lot so it's not true what you are saying about the strap, I think you don't know what you talking about
