Insightful conversation, empirical data suggests relatively our Country isn’t as bad as we sometimes portray it to be.

There was a press conference on behalf of international investors at Megawatt park - about a month ago. Pravin Gordhan was not available - he was on leave. Gwede Mantashe was on leave The chairman of the Eskom board was not available - nor were any of the senior Eskom executives. Most notable was that Ramaphosa was on leave. He wasn't available to address the people of SA or this interational investment team!! The Eskom CEO has resigned. The COO is leaving The CFO is leaving as are many of the senior members. Eskom cant keep the lights on any longer - yet they thumbed their noses at people who could bail us out..... No one is coming to save us They arrived to an empty Megawatt conference room - other than Andre de Ruyter. This was disgraceful and totally uninspiring to the international investors and finally sank the ship for any future investment - that SA depends on 100% for our survival.

Anybody that invests in a country that cannot guarantee a reliable power supply and constantly threatens a land grab without compensation, must be bloody crazy. We won't mention the crime rate and the hopeless police force.

Maybe WEF should ask the team going to sell SA, what actually is working in SA? This SA team are going for shopping at Davos and rest nothing else🤞🏽

The interlocutor is not naive but talking from a point of privilege. If all these efforts are enough, what about the high rate of youth unemployment and lack of STEM skills and the squalid conditions of townships?
