Thank you, Dr. Miryam Brand. So, the ancient Israelites would have held the view of Gen 3, as you are extrapolating in your presentation. Would it be reasonable to conclude then that even up until the time of Jesus, this view of Gen 3 would have been widely held by the Israelites living at that time? So, Jesus, the various sects of Israelites such as Pharisees and Sadducees, and all of Jesus’ disciples, including the apostle Paul, would have held this worldview of Gen 3 and the nature of sin’s origin? If this is true, then most evangelicals have misunderstood much of the NT writings. Your view helps explain much of what the New Testament writers like Jude and Peter had in their heads when they wrote, especially Jude 1:6 and 2 Peter 2:4. As a follower of Christ, you have given me a different way to see the OT and NT writings. I'm intrigued by this view being less widely discussed among biblical scholars. Could you shed some light on this?
