Fascinating! My neighbor used a candle on his Wii because his sensor bar had stopped working.

This video must have taken a shit load of research. It's unfortunate how videos that amazingly well made get such a relatively small amount of views. These are amazing.

@supersmashman90 evilmonkeyman289's right. The nunchuck is basically an analog stick with buttons and a 3-axis accelerometer. I could have mentioned it, but the tech it uses is the same as the Wii remote. Same deal with the Wii Remote Plus - it just integrates the Wii MotionPlus into the Wii Remote. The underlying ideas are the same.

The Wii Remote Plus comes with the Wii Motion Plus(basically a MEMS Gyro Sensor) built in.The Wii Remote Plus also now works on the Wii U,within supported software.I plan on getting two Wii Remote Plus controllers, mainly to use with Wii Sports Club on the Wii U.
@Jayrod6410 жыл бұрын
Mine FXaR Yes I'm aware of that,but Wii Sports Club on the Wii U requires the Wii MotionPlus or Wii Remote to work.Thankfully though,my friend had two Wii Remote Plus controllers,so I burrowed one of them.

The candle trick at times works better than using a sensor bar.The range using the candle trick is somewhat limited,and it is more prone to interference(as stated in the video),but it works well enough.I have tried the candle trick and found that the cursor is much more steady when using it.

Do you know how the wii remote's power button works? I heard it uses a specific frequency that is only usable for the Wii to turn it on. This is why we can't use bluetooth remotes or IR remotes to power on the Wii. So how would one go about hacking the Wii to be able to use any remote to turn on the Wii? (I'm not sure if the Wii or Wii U run using Radio Frequency or Bluetooth)

When I bought my wii, it didn't come with a sensor bar O.o I used two TV controllers, 2 rubber bands and 2 little pieces of wood to force the buttons of the controllers to be always pressed. That way I could play without a sensor bar, but the cursor flicked a LOT. I tryied to use candles, but I couldn't put them in a proper place so they couldn't set my tv on fire. I had to use this shitty system for three months. I was so proud when finished RE4 with it XD
