Also Jackie is the first girl that has meaning and depth she values her self and he finds that attractive. She is not throwing it at him. Soulmates?? Im chemistry isn’t the barometer in how judge rather someone is your soulmate. Soulmate has a lot to do with personalities and character. I honestly wanna see Jackie and Cole get together. Because judging by the level of toxicity it took for them just to kiss, I’m sure those two together will be anything but a happily ever after. A lot of ppl are saying Cole and Jackie will be the end game judging by the books but I don’t think Netflix or the producers will take the same route as the book. The toxicness of Jackie and Cole seems like they would fit together well but if they’re gonna take accountability for they’re actions then I assume they will bump heads often trying to figure out rather they are meant for each other

I know this is just teenage romance so a Jackie and Cole end game really isn’t an end game. I dislike that Cole doesn’t look out or even consider his younger siblings and being a role model for them. He’s a borderline high school dropout that goals is to work at a car garage while Jackie is a sophomore whose goals are to one day attend one of the most prestigious universities in the nation. She’s smart and seems to have a hold on what direction she wants to go. I’m sorry but their paths just don’t align in my mind. I know I’m thinking way outside the box but I hope as these characters develop, they focus more on their life goals and Cole definitely needs to focus on his because though you younger teenage girls may have sympathy for a guy like Cole, the world he lives in won’t. You see how hard his older brother is having it and he did attend college. Cole needs to get his crap together and quit crapping on the people who care about him the most and that’s his family. Jackie needs to solely focus on herself because it is clear the traumatic event of losing your entire family is beginning to leave a trail of bad behavior that she will one day regret. I’m truly disappointed in her. Alex needs to remove himself from Jackie and focus on his life and those who genuinely care about him because that’s not Jackie. I believe Jackie will realizes she missed out on a really good guy but for now she won’t judging by the fact that she ran from facing accountability of her actions. Saying all that I think this is a really good show. Can’t wait for season 2 just to see the roller coaster of drama that will unfold and how it will be handled by teenagers
