@@freemanjames Hello 🤗 I believe the small self or little ego is a part of the expression of the whole self or great I am. I realize all knowledge is made up but I believe that all things are a part of the glory of God. I don't believe the truth of who I am is the basis of reality but is rather also an emergence from the actual eternal reality which is unknowable. I noticed the song, Hard for me to say I'm sorry about a week ago and then the song, Glory of Love. I see these songs as being explicitly about the masculine and feminine aspects which are the basis of our reality. I think the book of Ephesians is also explicitly about the masculine and feminine aspects and says pretty much the same thing as these songs. In my opinion the witness is not a witness of the fundamental reality or truth but is a witness to it's expression. There are many of so called Eastern philosophy that believe we can't overcome the world as in desires specifically but should dismiss our desires in order to gain liberation but I don't believe we can achieve liberation and even bliss is a part of illusion existing only in our imagination and not in the actual eternal reality where nothing appears to exist. Many who have "Eastern" beliefs also believe as I do that the value in life is found in our imagination because without it there would be nothing. 🙏

Not until you study J Krishnamurti stand on "what is sleep and what is awake?" There is an urgency for change but he, JK on his "The Krishnamurti podcast enquire on the very subject of change" amongst various others of his works suggests a living without conflict first before attempting anything else. He suggests too much effort is put into living. What this book is advocating could be just that. We struggle. We think we are awake when we are asleep. I can only practice what I know otherwise how do I know when I get to it? Jesus must have known divinity as he and the Father were one. On Jesus' baptism, Jesus' Father announced it. Anyone else I believe, like me, is just using their mind to beat about the bush. I believe because I don't know so anything goes. Just saying and without any expertise and also one who with every answer happens to get a question. Endless questions are stimulated in my mind and by who is a mere guess too 😂 Listen to Jk as above even though he suggests too that when one arrives at an insight the worst one can do is do more enquiry as this wastes time and can come with its own biases😅 You may change from excellent to a guru.
