I love his take on competitions. That the winner is often the musician "who offends the least number of people on the jury"

I love this man, his insight, in all things musical, his truthfulness. I know this is 6 years old, but I can't help commenting

Yet another stimulating and entertaining interview with a pianist i've been lucky to hear in concerto, chamber and solo appearances. The questions flow freely, the replies are considered, yet spontaneous and humorous. I particularly like the remarks on musical humor and agree totally; Beethoven, especially is a genius at disguised comedy - sometimes not even too disguised! One of today's finest artists. Thank you, as ever.

He’s an incredible musician and really smart! Not to mention a nice apartment, he has the ideal kitchen to cook in when he’s not practicing or writing

It's a beautiful kitchen, not his though! Provided by our wonderful hosts for that shoot. Thanks for watching, Ray Anthony Trujillo!

About his remark on Cortot and Panzera about the first song first entrance of Panzera being not together with Cortot , Jeremy meant it sounds so much better that way than if they were together. I agree.

Can anyone help me with the name of that Verdi aria which Jeremy Denk plays on the piano (29:50). I should know this.. it's driving me crazy.

Classical musicians are SO different from jazz musicians!!

He talked about fast note learners. Maybe that`s what`s wrong about the big competitions. To survive it you have to have a lot of repertoire ready at the moment. The Chopin - 4.5 hours of material performed flawlessly within three weeks time. How does an artist who`s nature is to dig deep get started?

Zen meditation and Flow theory are two excellent practices to stay in the present tense with your music.

I'm really GLAD he can earn a living in classical music. I HOPE he no longer plays concertos and works that will kill his hands. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
