Since I first tried clearing UwU legit a WHOLE YEAR AGO, I've been wathcing your guide for EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT: And now I can finally say that today, on the 28th Feb 2024. I finally cleared UwU, my first ultimate. And I just wanna say big thanks for this guide and for everyone who's been apart of my journey. I've probably watched and replayed this guide over 200 times! What were your prog points were you actively doing it for a year were you taking breaks? But Gratz on the clear, but it should really only take 3 weeks to clear or about 30-35 hours of prog that’s about where I’m at rn on ultimate suppression

@RinTheBard well we all go at our own pace and speed but if you want the full timeline then here you go: 2023 late January: my TEA static and I decided to swap from TEA to UWU so we started in Februrary where we raided twice a week for w hours. I think it took us 1.5 months to get to Annihalaiton for the first time 1 month more we would still be very hardstuck in even reaching there. and then when the last savage tier dropped. we disbanded cuz we wanted to do the new tier with our savage statics then I think I did the tier for 3 months not touching uwu once. and then I had a long break which lasted until the start of this month ^^ so it's not been 1 year continuingsly it's just been 1 year since I started it

Congrats! It doesn't matter how long it took you; you did it! I'm sure you'll have many more ultimates in your future! Just a side note, Rin's timeline is odd. Time varies greatly based on experience, whether you're PFing or in a static, how many people you have with you who have already cleared or progged, etc. There is no "appropriate timeframe" to complete an ultimate, especially off-patch. Great job on your achievement!

Your old guide was one of my first looks into UwU, and now I've got all but 2 of the Ultima weapons. This was a massive glowup, having all the Primal abilities covered at the start and then going through the mechanic timeline, as well as the Annihilation/Suppression multiPoVs was great, and that's not even talking about the edits!

If u need help with supression, heres my summary: Everybody has their role there as nontank. You will get either get: 1. Mistral song, 2. Eruptions 3. Jail 4. Light pillar. You do the following IF: 1. MISTRAL SONG: run to the middle n then right n stand behind the tanks relative to the garuda clones. 2. ERUPTIONS: run towards middle n then continue to 3. Make sure u drop your eruptions on 3 (the jailed person will be standing there) and then go north to dodge it. 3. JAIL: run to 3 n wait there until freed.. 4. LIGHT PILLAR: Its a debuff (u gotta check ur debuffs), u can also realizing by having nothing else. U run towards mid, then tanks and then circle the arena clockwise n join the people at 3 to help them destroy jail. (And try to dodge all the lasers comin from ultima) Hope i helped!

This was such a beautiful remaster of a video that was already pretty good. The way the primal all starts off with what goes on during each mechanic was really good, and then walking through each Ultima mechanic, and seeing all the different ways to resolve them other than UPR. A fantastic remaster and will definitely be using this when I go back in to relearn the fight. Nice job!

Important PSA! For anyone who's like me and was having a lot of anxiety about Ifrit nail dashes because cardinals and intercardinals feels like a lot to keep in mind! You don't actually have to keep track of whether or not you're starting at a cardinal and if the Blue Ifrit is also on a cardinal or if it's on an intercard or whatever! Here's how I started keeping track of it and making it SO MUCH easier on myself: - Find your starting position (Nail 4; 'top left' of the Z). You can always find this if you lose track by looking out the arena for the two close Ifrits, it's the one on the left. -Then point camera toward the center of the arena to look for Blue Ifrit. -If he is to your left, move once (45 degrees) -If he is behind you or to your right, move twice (90 degrees) -If you're Searing Wind PoV just reverse all this/use the other 7/8 players for reference. That's literally it. Everyone makes it sound like you gotta have extremely good and consistent spatial awareness to keep track of the nail orientation around the arena, and where the cardinals are, and 'is that one opposite you an *inter* or a *cardinal*'. That shit doesn't matter actually! Because the order you kill the nails is consistent every time, and the shape of the nail orientation is consistent every time, and your starting place is the same every time, you can just think of it this way, and in my experience at least it simplified the mechanic to a degree where I would almost call it free.

Or you can use the middle waymarker to tell whether you're on a cardinal (sides) or intercardinal (corners) For me I don't even pay attention to if I'm standing on inter or card, just need to know if blue ifrit is standing on card or inter and then you move to the next cardinal he is on after the dashes begins

Very good quality guide, both visuals and content wise. You show both diagrams and ingame footage from each role's pov, explanations on mechanics are easy to understand and I especially love all the little things like the helpful practical tips inside the box on the bottom, icon/color coded text showing if a mech deals physical/magical damage etc. 10/10 will recommend.

It's simple savages are much easier and they get outdated quick. Nobody really cares about savage guides after their patch, but ultimates stay relevant forever so doing 100hrs of effort is worth. Like this guide is only 1 year old, when UWU has been around for years. Also there are tons of good savage guides like hector lectures / mtqcapture for savages, but again RELEVANCE. If u dont have week 1-2 guide on those its gonna be useless for a lot of people. So you cant invest hundreds of hours of work with tons of people. Also Savage strats dont get standardized as quickly so making a general guide for strats that everyone uses or is "optimal" takes a while.

I'm putting this comment here incase I ever truly get into the raid. As it stands: I'm entirely casual. But...the Gae Bolg Ultima...it's the prettiest weapon. I love it so much. And I want it so badly. This raid looks...ridiculously hard, coupled with how I'll have to fight other players being upset at me for failing mechanics and having a short memory, it'll be an uphill battle. Don't worry. Few days ago, after clearing some fair share of savages I've decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I did cause a wipe during the ending stage of Garuda fight. Right after that, got two DMS saying they hope, that I'll die in some gruesome manner and everyone left. Today I revisited the trial after six hours of learning the mechanics via yt. Before causing the wipe, I've made it to the early stage of Titan. Only one person called me a "retard" and told me I should hug the wall for the rest of the fight. :D Nobody left after this. 😎 Try to learn as much as you can, even at your own pace, and you'll make it soon enough.

Update, I’ve recently received my 8th UWU weapon since progging back in the spring, thank you for the guidance To new proggers to UWU: Be patient, encourage yourselves, take criticism like it’s candy, you will encounter salty players on your progging ITS OK, don’t prog then prog more, prog then clean up your prog point then move onto the next. The mechanics seem so easy here, but it feels like a whole new story when you are actually there. At the rate I'm going, I'm never going to clear any of these fights.

Once you put your mind to it and focus on one phase (or even one mechanic) at a time you'll get there. On the other hand, joining random PFs is a different story albeit a bit of a gamble because you might try for a Titan prog group but then the party ends up struggling to do a clean Ifrit.

The mechanics are fairly simple, but they happen very quickly and are very punishing if you mess up, and everyone has to be on the same page.

I really wanna clear an Ultimate some day.. even if I don't really like the looks of the weapons or the title, I still wanna say I at least tried. I ain't got a static and probably won't ever have one thanks to how busy I can sudden get during the week. Still, I'm determined to do one some day and out of all the current Ults, I think UWU's weapons might be one of my more favorite ones so I'm thinking of starting off with it when I feel ready.
