A little trick i learned is go the opposite way around the first time. Then you can put your mower on the outside edge. This allows you to cut full width from the start.

@@thecattlemanswife yes, but concerned about the price of fuel and fertilizer. Not sure if the market will pay the increases.

@@geneshippers5493 we are not going to use as much fertilizer this year. It's very expensive. Fuel is too.

Thanks for sharing this! Considering a TM610, I appreciate seeing a similar one in action. I saw some side-slipping while pulling it in spots, does that happen often? Any thoughts about this series of mower in general?

Glad you found it useful... It slides a little but we just bump the head up and it straightens out and we go on. There is a flotation adjustment on the header of the mower that would probably eliminate it but we haven't taken the time to adjust it. We've had good luck out of ours... Thinking we've had this mower for 12 years with only minor repairs. We mowed approximately 7000 acres over that time span.
