Far from an efficient way to use up a level 7 his only lv8 and lv9 slots all at once, but it sure was impressive. Upcasting the normal fireball to level 8 was a wasteful overkill, with only 3d6 gained from using a lv5 slot instead, and as @meanderinghat said, he should have gotten an extra 4d6 by putting the delayed fireball on the first turn... Anyhow the stunt gives: 17d6 from delayed fireball with 5 turns waiting, +13d6 from normal fireball upcast to lv8 = 30d6 = 105 fire damage aoe. Compare to 40d6 = 140 damage from an uninspired use of meteor swarm (lv9)

Also this combat whilst longer has been really satisfying. Matt is getting better and better at handling high lvl combat and the gang in general is getting better at having at least a rough idea on what they plan on doing there turn which was keeping the combat going. 7 people at lvl 20 is no joke, i still struggle with just 4 or 5 whenever the party gets past lvl 12.

If we broke some rules and include Travis's 3 Nat 20s in a row from his time as Grog (Combining his rolls from Search for Grog and Search for Bob), Sam still beats Travis by a fuck ton. To be clear I'm adding 2 separate instances of Travis rolling something 3 times in a row. A + B not A * B. If my Math is off, apologies. Not my strong suit.

The "once every 400 years" comment makes little sense to me, as that's assuming 4 d20s are rolled once every day for ~400 years, and on one of those days this would happen. It's an interesting factoid to put that percentage into context, but on its own it doesn't mean much. It'll happen much more often in real life, considering the amount of dice rolled each day

I was rewatching stuff and noticed that in C2E29 Beau watches Caleb, Caduceus and an enemy turn invisible through the episode and she is frustrated because "everybody knows that trick" (1:23:18). Years later Beau learned the trick as well.

Honeslty, I've been postponing becoming part of the Monday crew lol I have been saving this episode for like two weeks now because I refuse to not be able to binge this show as violently unhealthy as I can.. I've already watched the complete c1 and C2, I've watched most one shots, all four sided dive, narrative telephone, AWNP, the three Exandria Unlimited mini series... Maybe I'll procrastinate with Candela Obscura for a while, then Midst, then the Reslayers take, but it shan't be the same

This episode is amazing! I absolutely love Caduceus' Divine Intervention as well the way he talked to the Weave Mind! Caleb truly was the star with Time Stop and the whole final moment) Plus, I really enjoyed all of the M9 being their chaotic selves. I'm so happy to see them working as a team once again ❤❤❤

Good thumbnail choice. This episode was some lovely bit of fanservice, and the fight was very fun, props to Matt. I wish the Weave Mind had been developed a bit more and the Nein had more reasons to care, but it was still a great time.
