Just got back from a visit and these are beasts of stones. Sad to say no dogs allowed even on a lead. :-( Thanks for posting.

There is a stone on the far side that sits splitting the 2 avenues that's a different stone to all the rest nobody ever notes this it's got hole you can see straight through it, a large peice is half buried in the ground next to it clearly broken off,

This guy doesn’t seem to have researched much, sounds like he has no idea what he’s talking about.

Stop going on about ceremonies and ritual. Our neolithic ancestors were not the druids. Really annoys me. Nobody knows what these places were built for or why or even if they belived in a creator.

We are always told that the Romans invented concrete (and everything else). Clearly they did NOT ! The pre-Gallic people of this country - those who were living here for long before the gaelic 'British' arrived from the Mediterranean c.1000 BC (to become the ancient Kings of Cornwall, Wales/Kymry & England/Lloegr, and Albany), so very long before the 'Johnny come lately' Romans dropped in around 1AD - were building structures out of many materials: quarried stone, manufactured concrete, wood, earthworks .... And this was a global culture. See the NewEarth series for other ancient sites in the world using concrete. Do you think this structure was roofed over to make a massive hall or house? That makes sense of the many internal closely arranged posts. So outer blocks of concrete and inner circles of wooden posts supporting a roundhouse 113m across. Native tribes in some parts of the world build their communal huts on a pretty big scale. And megalithic sites are large scale compared to our size/expectations today.

Tor, don't come up with that silly dowsing stuff again, you should know by now dowsing is self misleading, it never works and never will. Twitch of the elbow, eh.
