@fantomas92406 ай бұрын
About the EVH, the difference price between US and Europe is, in y opinion, connected with MSRP (manufacter's suggested retail price).In US the price is dicted by the brand. You can not sell under a certain price (for mesa boogie, was a time if you offered the shipping cost, it could be considered by the brand as a discount and you could lose the brand !). In Europe is forbidden. Let's say in the US you are for exemple Sweetwater, you buy from EVH the guitar for 800 dollars, as agreed with the MSRP you can not sell it under 1500. In Europe, let say you are Thomann, you buy the EVH for 900 dollars. If you want to sell it for 1200, it's your business, the brand can't suit you for that. My 2 cents. Cheers from France Andy !

About the Beach Boys-inspired items: I'm a big fan, having just about all their recorded output. But the thing is, when I hum a Beach Boys tune in my head, I'm not hearing a guitar! "I Get Around" is a great pedal name, but can anybody identify a place where the BBs used an effect like that? Same goes for 12-string simulator. Say whaaaat? I know Carl did have a Rickenbacker 12, but I don't believe he used it much in the studio. Why not just get a 12-string if you want that sound. A cheap Danelectro will do. But really, were 12-strings used much? Besides the great vocals, the sounds I think of most with the Beach Boys are the bass harmonica (same instrument used by Simon & Garfunkel in "The Boxer") and harp! I'm not sure what I'm missing. But guitar sound effects are not Beach Boy reminiscent.

There are Guitars for show Like Gibson and Fender these days then there are Guitars for playing like Music man PRS Jackson Ibanez and then there are unknown customs designed around a person hands fingers for use by that player like Storey Guitars if lucky to have one as not around now. Sadly few guitar companies make a guitar around what your hands and how you play.body size weight and balance. What you have these days as custom is pickups and design color to me that is not custom. As all guitars that are cheap made for standard design and put of players with small hands play a certain way or not balanced too heavy.

If it belonged to someone special who beat the crap out of it for years it may be worth displaying as a collector's item, but this is a new guitar. That's just crazy to me. Isn't it really pretentious to go on stage with a brand new guitar that just looks like it's old? So..., Gibson priced themselves out of the market a few years ago. Fender is getting there. But now Epiphone? I used to have an Epiphone SG that cost me about $120 new, and was a great starter guitar. Now they're ridiculous.
