This is what the die hard XO fans wanted. A return to the old sound but with his even more improved voice and style. Well we got it guys!! We eatin good :D Album drops March 20th its official. This song even tho I wanted this type of Abel, he shocked me, it's so dark and haunting but beautiful and honest. If the rest of the album is similar to this then this could be one of his best pieces of work since trilogy for sure. Jon great reaction as always man take a few more listens to this it gets better!! Great content man! March 20th pls come quick. XOTWOD
@RikTaa4 жыл бұрын
Die-hard fans want new music, not old Abel. Just saying this song and album will be a mix of previous albums is just degrading and dumb. it's basicaly a NEW sound. Yall wouldn't like the album if it was like the previous one's because you already listened to that type of music 24/7 when you were listening to trilogy, mdm, starboy and bbtm. So in conclusion, this is new and its some good ass fucking music. Xo
@tanvirgrewal12224 жыл бұрын
@@RikTaa What I mean when I say "old music" or "old sound" is the type of subject matter and fundamentals in his music that the core fans love, the more raw, honest and darker Abel which is most certainly what it looks like we're going to be getting with this new album if you look at the 3 songs he's released so far overall, as well as him saying on his Instagram and Twitter "No more daytime music." and " get ready for a brain melting psychotic chapter." I also don't believe that I once said this coming project will be a mix of his past albums too(or that I wanted it to be). Technically every sound and song he creates is a new sound and I am not calling for Abel to totally copy any past or previous albums or projects or songs, I just want him to incorporate and bring back the foundations that made him so good in the first place and got him here, which were the qualities i listed at the start, and this is what he is doing. So that's what I meant by the term "old Abel". I, like you im sure are very excited to hear this project with Abels newer style as well as an older more previous BUT not identical foundation and nature. That's what I meant mate.

It’s important to note the references and thematic similarities between this song and previous work. On “Twenty Eight” he said, “This house is not a home to you..” and now he’s saying “This house is not a home without my baby” On “Wasted Times” he said “I don’t wanna wake up if you ain’t laying next to me” and now he’s saying, “Put myself to sleep, Just so I can get closer to you inside my dreams“ Sonically, he explores with some unique sounds from “KissLand” and some dark synths from “Trilogy” and drums from “Beauty Behind The Madness” - if this title track is setting the tone for what the rest of the album will be like, then we can assume and hope that he’s found a way to make an album that encompasses everything we loved about the 3 albums I just mentioned.

After Hours is one of my fav tracks of the album together with Blinding Lights and Hardest to Love. Sooo beautiful. I'm glad I found out about The Weeknd lately, his music is awesome.

This song was one of the best parts of the concert especially when the music stopped and he let the crowd sing the last chorus and he came back in to end it with the “noooo”

Man he sounds so much like Michael Jackson it’s crazy. The last 3 songs have all been bangers.

I opened Spotify and first thing I saw was the track length.... Saw it was 6 min.... Knew it would be a masterpiece.

instantly loved this song. have to say, watching you enjoy was the same feeling as when you share a song you love with a friend and you're hoping they like it, and then they do!
