►Lyrics:
Yeah
I been tryna call
I been on my own for long enough
Maybe you can show me how to love, maybe
I'm going through withdrawals
You don't even have to do too much
You can turn me on with just a touch, baby
I look around and Sin City's cold and empty (oh)
No one's around to judge me (oh)
I can't see clearly when you're gone
I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch
I said, ooh, I'm drowning in the night
Oh, when I'm like this, you're the one I trust
Hey, hey, hey
I'm running out of time
'Cause I can see the sun light up the sky
So I hit the road in overdrive, baby
Oh, the city's cold and empty (oh)
No one's around to judge me (oh)
I can't see clearly when you're gone
I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch
I said, ooh, I'm drowning in the night
Oh, when I'm like this, you're the one I trust
I'm just walking by to let you know (by to let you know)
I can never say it on the phone (say it on the phone)
Will never let you go this time (ooh)
I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
I said, ooh, I'm blinded by the lights
No, I can't sleep until I feel your touch

As a 50 year old, who is an original 80s waver, I can only say that this song, this artist, gives me a reinvigorated hope for popular music to return to what popular music was like in the 80s. This song literally made me feel 15 years old again, hearing it for the first time. It woke me up from a cryostasis of hopelessness. He has the perfect voice for this style of music, and I hope he does more of it. I could kiss this man.

Years ago, I bought tickets for my sister to see her favorite band (Florence & the Machine) in Philly and a group of us piled into the car and went to see the show. The opening act was someone that no one had really heard of named The Weeknd. I actually knew of the song "Wicked Games"...heard it a few times on the radio and could not get enough of it. So I was thrilled to hear this was the guy that sang that song. When the concert started, I kid you not....sitting up in the front, there were maybe 3 other girls that stood up and danced to the song some of us knew. The rest of the time...everyone just watched and waited in anticipation for Florence to get on the stage!!! If we only knew then.......the amount of talent this man has is amazing. I have loved watching his career take off and soar and can't wait to see what he does in the future. Incredible.

@@donkeykong4983 They hear it instantaneously. Honestly, most vocalists use in-ear monitors just for self-reference. Especially if they're multi instrumentalists.
