It started off pretty rough but it got better as the concert went on. I noticed he messed with his ear piece quite often ... He probably couldn't hear himself. Technical issues possibly.

yeah it was probably a mix of the earpiece being a bit off and combo-d with the first show of tour. He was probably getting his voice in tune + the audio team was likely getting everything adjusted correctly for the first time. Another note- He varied the intros a few times over the first few shows, some were high pitch and some were low, and also the beat comes in a lot softer in this first show, it comes in more hard and direct after this. All of these things are common early on in tours

Yea he was just figuring out how he wanted to perform the song since it was the first show. I much prefer how he sang it here, he sang it the normal way in Seattle
