It’s about a love triangle in the midst of indulging in the hookup culture. Post is bi and The Weeknd is one of his lovers and Post starts to play emotional games with him. Then the Weeknd is letting him know that he isn’t as hurt about it as much as Post thinks he is because The Weeknd is fine playing the same emotional games as Post. They are both running away but going in circles cuz they both keep doing the same things to others and each other. And it just so happens Ari got involved with Post after and Ari does to him what Post did to The Weeknd. Post then tries to deflect and pretend he’s not hurt and make excuse to her and himself. Ari tells him to save his tears for someone better. Post then goes back to The Weeknd and then The Weeknd once again tells Post to save his tears because he wasn’t that hurt and still isn’t hurt because of what Post did. So Post is left hearing in his thoughts Save Your Tears from The Weeknd because he doesn’t want him to feel bad about what he did to him and he’s left hearing it from Ari because she wants Post to save his tears for someone who actually loves him. So because of this Post is still running away but… in circles.
