you're actually right about your first impression!! The song is about not feeling your face cause its numb off of cocaine, the weeknd has a habit of disguising his dark/sad songs with an upbeat and happy tone. The end when his hair burned off signified the start to his new era (at the time) starboy!! It was a huge deal when he cut his hair!! Michael Jackson is a huge inspiration of his and he often gets compared to him, so your right again! *Also, he's into girls lol
