I remember when I first heard this song. It was on someones Tumblr page and it just started playing. I felt this wave of emotion wash over me. It was so intense I had to stop what I was doing and just seriously lie back, close my eyes and concentrate on the song and how if was making me feel. So much fucking dopamine was flooding my brain it was seriously an experience I will never forget. People don't understand how deep Abel is. in this song he's talking about how he loves another woman, and for some reason (heartbreak most likely) he's dead inside, and can't forget her. But another woman is asking more out of him "why you rushing me baby, just let me Get in my zone. I don't wanna die tonight baby, so let me Sip this slow" (probably sex seeing that he talks about being used) "I'll give you what you called for baby" saying she's asking for something (sex most likely) but he can't get over his previous girl, so he's got to get drunk or high to be able to "get in his zone" so that he can "touch her right" he says lines such as "I'll be making love to her through you, so let me keep my eyes closed, so I can't see a damn thing, I can't feel a damn thing" showing how abel's dead inside, thinking of this other woman. Closing his eyes and making love to her through another girl, stuck on the idea of this other woman when he's caught up with someone else. He doesn't actually love or care for this other woman that he's with, he's just following through and giving her what she wants. But he's dead and wants someone else but has got to follow through with his plans, even if he can't be sober to do them. It just shows how deep Abel can be, I know most people are caught up over how "sexy" Abel is or drakes lines just because it's drake. But Abel has the deepest and most powerful lines in this whole song and people fail to see that. This will continue to be one of my favorite songs because of its meaning.
