This is my review of the Mysterious Package I received in the mail! This turned out to be a gift from people who are still to be named! I assume some of my friends! The package is creepy and crazy! So if you like things that provide a little scare check this out!

Some of the letters are Theban Script, but not all of them, so seems more random than actually saying anything. The symbol in the middle resembles the astrological symbol for Uranus, but with a lot of other markings thrown in, so it might be made up. All in all, this is freaking awesome!!!

I got one of these as well. Between the letter and the packaging I thought it would have something awful inside because of the phrase "warning" in the letter; most of which I had trouble reading. Then, when I open it and look through it; I am thinking I am holding on to evidence that police should have and I was hating the weight of having it. If I hadn't googled it I would have called the police out of a sense of pure responsibility....a great thing but I would tell someone if you send them this particular package it is too scary.

Thank you for your review. I ordered mine and was surprised at how large the book was. I guess my hands are a lot smaller than yours. I love mine and never would have known about the medalion inscriptions had you not pointed them out. My medalion was almost black and not as easy to read as yours.

Received this in the mail too. It was extremely creepy. The name of the missing person is different, everything else is identical. I can't figure out the symbols. A lot of effort goes into this game making the journal look like it's from 1980. Any subtle hint where to find the codex for the symbols so I can advance in this game. Internet searches only give you the history of "Demdike" and the Pendle Witches in Lancashire England.......

I found this video quite useful, as I want to send this to someone, but the site is vague to avoid spoilers, so, I went out and looked for an unboxing. The likelihood of someone stumbling upon this video then randomly receiving a box is pretty low, and if you want to get this box but don't want spolers, you should be looking up unboxing videos anyway!

We HATED our packages. We bought The King in Yellow on sale and also The Century Beast. After the first mailing this was not for us. We asked for a refund (or partial refund since we had already received a mailing). We paid $350 with the sale and shipping. They gave us a refund of $150. I have to disagree with your statement that it's "not dissimilar to a Loot Crate", they couldn't be further apart. Not "very unique item", just "unique item" and it is of course not even that since they mail out many of these. There is no such thing as "very unique". Something is either unique (one of a kind) or it is not.

I disagree. To me, this is VERY unique. I have never heard of such a thing before. Unique would be receiving a hand-made sculpture or a spider catcher. Receiving an eerie package with an antiqued journal about a witch burning, a medallion written in Theban Script, and a warning from a stranger definitely falls under "very unique". And while you claim that they "mail out many of these" - I have never met anyone who's even HEARD about these, let alone been the recipient of such a thing. Plus, as expensive as they are, it stands to reason that most people would prefer to give out gift cards to Target or Starbucks (for example), rather than spend $200-$350 on a fun concept. Not to say that some people don't have expendable income, but most can't afford this.
