That's the Lough Neagh to Belfast water mains inlet pipe. Goes to shore at Dunore point, then to Hyde park in Mullusk. Goes right along Aldgerove,s runway. Then into Mullusk. Best to stear clear of the Area. If you get Southerly winds on the lough you will see why. Short choppy waves frequency is away short than sea waves. Safer area is to go Western routes, old torpedo platform, Shane's Castle, Cranfield direction. Heading for Toomebridge. Safer shoreline.

Great adventure! I bought a second-hand RED board from a SUP adventure shop that was replacing all its gear-the board was only 1 year old, looks new and I have had some great times out on lakes and rivers. Fair play to you for being able to get your board packed back into the large bag it came with - something I have never been able to do!!🙄
