This is kinda coincidental because I recently found my copy of Battles Ninjago (that I was really upset with as a kid because I wanted a ninjago lego game) and I actually brought it with me to work today to give it another chance 😭

The portable Rock Band games are very underrated and I loved that meme at the end with the Man has fallen into a river in LEGO City.

Didn't expect the LEGO Rock Band DS mention but it does make sense as a "weird" LEGO DS game. A little background on it that you missed: When it first released, it was essentially a scaled back / casual oriented DS take on the PSP game Rock Band Unplugged, which has similar gameplay except for the fact that that game didn't let you continue playing a single instrument freely and would force you to swap to another track if and when you completed "phrases". The game actually did see a follow up with the DS version of Rock Band 3, but unfortunately it followed more in line with Unplugged without a solo instrument mode outside of the multiplayer. Also, both were incompatible with the Guitar Grip, that was only ever for Guitar Hero games, and these were designed for button gameplay.

The lego battles series is the most underrated and goated games that should at least get some sort of reboot

We are the champions? It's always a surprise how fast standards and expectations used to change. Just imagine that Bionicle game dropping in 1994, 10 years before the DS launched? You know, the underpowered DS, that was limited to 512kb textures and 2048 perspective correct triangles per frame...but could also render quads, faster and easier than a Saturn. Also, in 1994, Quake was two years away.

Great video. The DS is nostalgic for me despite only playing a small handful of titles. Sometimes finding those hidden gems are special.

Bionicle Heroes was a surprising hidden gem. Didn't expect it to be a fps. Compared to the cod games and Metroid Prime Hunters, it controls pretty well and it's a shame we won't get another Lego game like that again.

Awesome Video KLEJ, I have LEGO Rockband myself for DS and it's great, I always pick Life is a Highway, Ghostbusters, and even Khun Fu Fighting as well is on it. You should also check out the LEGO Ninjago game just like the LEGO Battles game, i have it on DS, but I always found it a strange game as a kid. I understood how to play it, but the premise of it existing was certainly strange.

Lego battles. 2009 RTS Lego battles Ninjago. 2011 RTS Lego Star Wars Battles. 2021 Not a RTS but is technically part of the series The last one is also no longer playable as the servers shut down for that game

Battles is an interesting concept I wish they'd bring back. Since Epic seems to get the licence a lot at the minute, maybe they can make it one of the Fortnite gamemodes...

Great video again KLEJ! I was wondering since you mentioned Griptonite games, whether you could talk about the Griptonite Wolverine game. It runs with the same Iron Man type style game. I was wondering if you had played it before. Check it out!
