You dont even need to be clicking to get banned when playing on afk accounts for long periods of time. I had a defence only account (think it got banned with 82 def, cb38 right before soulwars grind) that was banned for afking monks in edgeville. They are low stats and heal themselves and give roughly 2k xp/h for defence pures. I was there for 18+hrs per day when covid started and constantly had people saying in chat they were reporting me for botting and i always replied laughing and even threw in the odd "add me and youll see". To my demise, the account was banned a few weeks later for macroing. Afking monks has got to be one of the most afk things in the game, but if you play enough hours youll still get flagged as a bot. I've since remade the account and gotten much further, but sucks my first playthrough was abruptly ended from shitty bot detection.

Do not use foot pedal for high alch. I was banned during covid for high alching using a foot pedal during wfh. Given I used it for 10 hours a day for 2 weeks. Took me 2 years to appeal the unappealable macro major ban. Literally had to threaten suicide in the appeal (it was my 4th attwmpt, i didnt do it, i just wanted my account back).
