I adore this video series. When I saw there was a second video, I saved it for a good rainy day. It did not disappoint. Tysm for making these!

This is quite an interesting series. There are a lot of second hand bookshops might not have the variety but if you are lucky, you can find some hidden gems there...

When we lived in Scotland 10 years ago, we often went to the Sauchiehall Hall Street Waterstones. We saw Graham Hancock and Raymond E Feist there downstairs where the cafe is. When you went, did the lower area still smell like a backed up sewer drain? It used to be a constant aromatic occurrence!

Love this video series! I get so overwhelmed with chaotic bookstores but love the vibes. Keeping an eye out for that ultra-neat second hand bookstore that has to exist somewhere 😂

Love these videos! Keep'em coming! Hoping one day all shops will earn a 100+ rating! 😉

I laughed so hard at the fire and demonic whispers in the first bookshop lol 😂 because it’s exactly what I was thinking.

I love Thistle books, well laid out and fantastic quality of authors, accessibility is fantastic because it is less than a 5 minute walk to the closest tube station so you don’t have to walk far if you’re carrying a stack of goodies home, great video by the way

Leakey’s in Inverness. In an old church. Apparently they used to do coffees but sadly no longer. That will take a few points off. But it does have a spiral iron stair. Pitlochry Station Bookshop, premises donated by Scotrail, donated books. And there is another one off the Main Street worth a visit. (And since you are in the area 😬, not secondhand, but the Watermill Bookshop in Aberfeldy is an outstanding independent with a quirky café 😉 and superb food, vegan included) Logie Steading Bookshop, outside Forres. Café next to it with nice baking, naturally, and a farm shop. Loads in Wigtown obviously as someone said. Look forward to seeing some more, thanks!

When I was at uni I used to spend a ridiculous amount of time and money in Voltaire and Rousseau - it was just as chaotic in the mid 1980s as it isnow, and I am sure they had a cat as well (presumably not the same one). A real miss is John Smith’s in St Vincent Street 😢 As an aside truly you can’t mark down secondhand only bookshops for not having your book - that means that people who buy it don’t want to get rid of it!

It’s creepy that this morning I was wondering if Thistle Books was still there but I didn’t say anything about it. Yet tonight YT gives me this right at the top. At least I know it’s there though.

Loving this series...putting a light on second hand bookshops. Whenever I'm able to visit Scotland, I'd love to visit these bookshops! I'm guessing Waterstones is the equivalent to Barnes & Noble here in the states? As always, great vid Andrew!

Have you not been to Wigtown yet? There's a shop there called At the Sign of the Dragon. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's just in the bookseller's house, but he has the biggest science fiction selection I've ever seen.

Your friend is correct to suggest that Raccoon Tycoon is a good game. It’s very fun but honestly has nothing at all to do with being a raccoon.

I like the video, but it is such a shame that you rate based on whether they stock your book... pretty lame tbh, and unfair because these are second hand bookstores mostly. I'm guessing you published your book recently, so why do that at all?
