It was reported to me, by my grandmother, and by elders in the church in which it occurred, that the "fire" phenomenon at Azusa Street reported to the fire department (twice), also occurred in Centralia, Washington in 1957 at what was then called the First Church of the Open Bible, in pretty much the same way. Fire on the church roof was reported twice, and the second time it was reported in the paper as well, but the church never burned, and it's still there on Alder Street. That county, today seated in the midst of the woke weirdness in the Pacific Northwest, once had no less than sixteen active Assemblies of God churches, besides the Faith churches, the Jesus Name churches, and the Open Bible churches. We are praying for revival to occur there in that county again, and make Portland and Seattle take a look.

Speaking of child preachers, I sat under the teaching of one in my early Christian years. (Of course, she was elderly by the time I met her.) Her name was Mary Agnes Wagner &, as a child evangelist, she led huge tent revivals in the northeast United States & out West. Her parents were Baptists & so was she. Don't let the Baptists tell you they've never let girls preach. They did in the old days!

Northeast would be American(Northern) Baptist, distinctive from Southern Baptist. There are plenty of other breakoff's to chose from also. The S. Baptist had a split a few years back and I wouldnt doubt some have husband and wife teams. I call it a split .. it was more like a house cleaning .

Its really time to see God really move again. So many young people are lost into street drugs. So many mislead. All Christians must pray we put away all our differences. God can't come with His shaniah glory if there is sin in camp. We must purify our heart toward the complete righteousness of Jesus Christ , our High priest. So the world we live together in can once see the same Shinah Glory of the Holy Spirit . With the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Spirit. God wants to reach millions and millions. God said, " The works I do, greater works shall you do". Give all the glory to Jesus Christ that is God. Let the Holy Spirit move. That God can get all the Glory . I praise you : God the Father, God the Son of God Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. Let God get all the glory. Let us have a humble heart. That you get all the praise, the glory , the worship. Help us forgive all those that have done us wrong. God help me put away anything that makes my heart unclean in your sight. So we can pray for those hungry . Those in need of healing. I praise you. Jesus Christ thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. So we can have a new heart and mind. I praise you. I want to be with you in Heaven. To be reunited with all my loved ones. Help me strive to do your will . While I am alive. I need you right now. I praise you. I glorify your Holy name.

Please pray that a second azusa street revival will happen soon please set aside time each day to pray specifically for that Pentecostal churches need to get back to seeing signs wonders and miracles instead of just talking about it

arfer minute the thing is, it’s not a modern idea for women to preach, teach, and lead others. As long as it’s the actual Holy Spirit filling and calling women to do such things, it’s God’s wishes.

arfer minute haha, not talking about emotions or fuzzy feelings here, I’m talking about the anointing and power of God poured out via the Holy Spirit. Well for one, we have a precedent set in Judges 4 where a woman was a judge, Deborah. Though we tend to see men in leadership, I know where men are absent in the church, women stand in the gap. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but men (and good ones at that) are lacking in the church. We need more, but until then, God raises up who He pleases. Women are just as legitimate image-bearers and temples of God as men are, and they’re just as good at teaching too. Otherwise, why do we let them teach our children, but not our grownups? Might that speak to how we view children too, that they are not as legitimate as adults? We still have a long way to go but we’ll get there by the help of the Lord.

arfer minute I think what it comes down to is your local church expression. Pay attention to who God has placed in your vicinity and use the discernment He’s given you by the Holy Spirit. We need to honor each other and if He has placed someone in leadership above you that you normally wouldn’t agree with as being your leader, sort it out with God and ask Him if there’s anything within that’s in disagreement with His choices and ask Him to take care of it. When you look at places where the church is persecuted and they have to go “underground”, this discussion isn’t really a thing because they have to rely on God’s voice just to survive and they recognize that He uses anyone to lead who will consistently say yes to His leadership, including women. @arfer minute there‘s a pretty good podcast to get started about this topic. lot‘s of misunderstandings of certain bible passages because there is a lack of contextual & historical background knowledge. in fact there aren‘t only female apostels, prophets, evangelists & teachers in the bible, there is also a pastor. apart of that it doesn‘t make sense why women can hold the higher offices in the spirit & not a certain lower one. however, there‘s a lot of information if you care to do some research.
