I can’t find the other parts (II,III & IV) of this review. Anyone can help???

I have been using the WeMacro rail and the Raynox 150 Tube lens with the microscope lenses for over a year now and I am super impressed. My package came from China, and it was packed just like yours. Watch the videos on their site for how to assemble, and it is significantly easier! William is very fast to answer any questions you have. I would encourage you to use the rail with the Helicon Remote and Focus software. It works well together and the results are outstanding. I also use the rail with manual focus lenses such as the Laowa's and have been very satisfied with the results. I made my own horizontal mount using a large board (that covers the table I use) and a high-end ball mount that is securely mounted (and then some) to the board via a Platypod. I also use my good tripod with the rail attached and it has worked exceptionally well in the field. I won't kid anyone that is new to macro, there is a considerable learning curve. But the results are stunning! If I can do it, anyone can!! Glad to see this review!

What does the helicon remote do or help improve on? How does it work with the wemacro?

Love your video Allan. I also received this same rail setup from WeMacro. It also was soaking wet, but like you, everything was sealed with no water damage. Good job WeMacro. I have done some initial pictures but i have lots more work to do. Thank you so much for putting this video together.

Great video - tks. I can't find part 2-4, are they produced?

I am new to all this, and enjoyed watching this first video, but do you think I can find the other videos. If someone could send links for parts 2-4 I would very much appreciate it. Thank you

Allan - I just watched "The WeMacro Focus Rail - A Deep Dive Into the Popular Imported Rail - Part I (of IV)" with great interest. I have been researching other sliders for a while and was leaning toward another manufacturer. I can't find Parts II, III and IV. Can you direct me to where I can find them as I would like to watch them before I make a purchasing decision. Thank you, Curt Smith

A lot of those left over parts are for when you use it as a horizontal stand. Looking forward to the rest of the videos.

I figured they were - and I am mounting the whole thing on a solid base today - the options are limitless. I look forward to seeing what others have done to mount the system. So far so good!

Allan, what do you think about the Wemacro Raynox 150 Tube Lens? Good value?
@landpenn2 жыл бұрын
I ordered a wemacro rail with an S2 cable. They also sent me all the shutter cables. I am so far impressed with overall performance for the price point.

Good to know. I am working with the controller this morning and am finding it simple and intuitive. Is this your first rail, or have you previously owned another rail? Thanks!

@@AllanWallsPhotography first automated rail. Cheap manual rails and a manfrotto 454. Wemacro seems much more precise and an overall solid build. Android 10 functionality works great so far. I use it with a 50k lumen light box I recently constructed with some good results so far

@@AllanWallsPhotography I will also receive the tubes and adapters and a 4x objective this week thanks to your help. I have fell in love with macro since I picked up the laowa 90mm f2.8 2:1 macro lens. I am relatively new to photography in general but dive into things head first. Thanks for all the great reviews and ideas.

Allan, you gave a great intro to the WeMacro. Are you still going to do the setup of the WeMacro rail? Thanks

Yes, Ray - I have to get two other videos out first and I am waiting on a few pieces from China - it will not be much longer!

Nice video Allan, but it would have been better if the straight on camera was further away so we could see things like in the side views. I'm looking forward to the others on this subject as I was on the "buy it now button" you mention.

Well so far it is living up to the hype. I am not sure about relying on Bluetooth - it is a very unreliable tech in my experience, but I am planning some punishing stacks later today, so we will see. I will be giving updates during my Tuesday night livestream (8PM every Tuesday), so if you want the latest, drop by!

@@AllanWallsPhotography yeah, I've never brought it outside, it sits next to my build station connected to the PC and you know me, I shoot coils with it mostly. I do plan on trying out the phone app for a different project going on now so this is perfect timing to see someone else do it first before I start fiddling with it lol.

FYI...the slider is a specimen holder and works a heck of a lot better as an adjustable specimen holder than has a micro rail!!!

Does what it says on the tin (for me anyway) 👍
@AllanWallsPhotography2 жыл бұрын
That is one of my early concerns - I am not exactly sure what it says on the tin - some of the documentation is a little impenetrable. I think I am going to write a cheat sheet, like I did with the Stackshot. We'll see.
@bt_photo2 жыл бұрын
Think the only strange thing I found with it was that you had to have your phones location on for the app to work (might be fixed now)
@HenryHeerschap2 жыл бұрын
I use my WeMacro just seldom enough to forget stuff each time I use it. I finally sat down and boiled down the documentation to a one-page checklist. Helps a lot. There's a paucity of third-party videos and docs on the WeMacro so I'm thrilled to see this new series.

I’m not impressed that their website does not state the currency being quoted. Even in checkout you don’t know which country’s dollars will be charged.

It shows prices with a $ in front. So US dollars.

I love you, Mr. Walls, but you talk around the topic too much. Can we get to the point and stick with it? Who the heck cares about the packaging it shipped in?
