I'm impressed with the level of playing. But the compositions are somewhat poor in my view. Songs are generally repetitive, without interesting melodic lines and/or lyrics. They would benefit from having a lyricist and some digging deep into songwriting. Too bad (my opinion only) because they are such great musicians.

Well...they improvise during live sets so it helps them to keep their recorded songs repetitive and not complex because then the jams/improvs can get VERY complex and they DO. Also, their lyrics are always on the positive side...so it touches on something that is deep yet will always remain SIMPLE because THEY WANT THE POINT TO GET ACCROSS...they don't want anyone to have to search for it. You are receiving a loving message from a true brother.
