Ah great stuff Eddie some lovely views/footage you got on this start section of the walk. Never done any bits of the WHW but i know in places it's a lot harder to do than it looks. But with the great company you have with you anything is possible 👍 Will catch up on this on the next few days or so mate. Thanks for posting, peter :)

Thanks Ossie yes it was quite comfortable really, the thing is to go slow uphill (your own slow pace) and steady on the flat. ATB.

Oh my, this brings back many happy memories. I worked 7 seasons at Rowardennan hostel when Davie and Wilma ran it. Still to this day one of the best jobs I ever had. I moved to Canada and am now in Austria living but often think of Rowardennan. The number of times we had the rescue seaking land where you are camping and one year I even landed a Piper super cub on floats in front of the hostel! For anyone staying there who wants a swim. The water for some reason is much warmer on the beach to the right of of the jetty! Near the rocky outcrop that separates it from the next beach which featured on an old episode of Rab C Nesbitt when he and Jamesy walked the WHW! Happy walking, I hope you have tons of Avon Skin So Soft, it’s midgey season!

You're a right old character Eddie. KZbin would not be the same without you or the usual mob. I enjoyed that end to end. I look forward to part 2. Mark

The scenery is amazing, Rob Roy country that, Craig Rostan was owned by him and Inversnaid was his little settlement back in his day, he's not the bad man outlaw Scottish folk law would have people believe, he was Scotlands Robin Hood, reading a book called Rob Roy MacGregor, His life and times by WH Murray, a very interesting read.
@ScotsWildcamper2 жыл бұрын
If laws are unjust are you an outlaw if you break them, hard to know fact from fiction but I think if people are remembered for centuries then they defo made a great impact. Glad I did the WHW maybe the Southern Upland Way next which is a different beast.
@neanderthaloutdoors92022 жыл бұрын
@@ScotsWildcamper Totally agree with that statement Eddie and no I think unjust " law's " should be broken and not adhered too and " ignored ". Sounds like another picturesque walk, enjoy.

Really nice lochside campsite there at the end of the video not seen that before
@ScotsWildcamper2 жыл бұрын
Yes that's the unofficial campsite the official pitches are terrible TBH. The receptionist said since it was Sunday none of the managers are there and we could camp at the lochside.
