A 3-day adventure hiking along the Pine Creek Gorge on the West Rim Trail. Starting in the rain on Day 1 and hiking from Rattlesnake Rock up to the Steel Hollow Trail, and finding a campsite nearby. Then on Day 2 hiking to the Bradley Wales picnic area for lunch, then hiking up just past Little Slate Run and finding camp with a nice view looking down the gorge. Day 3 is the big finale with the spectacular views from Barbour Rock and then finishing the hike at the northern terminus.

Love the end with the down under view of the outcrop. Did catch the fire on your license plate. Nice touch. Love the 3D trail view and how you make your camera stick disappear. You have some of the best quality hiking videos on YT for sure. Thanks for sharing and producing.

What a nice hike. Man I can not what for Spring and opportunity to get back out into the woods. I get out a little in the Winter but the woods are so much more interesting and beautiful when they are teaming with life.

My tailbone was smarting after that fall on day one. Glad you didn't get injured. Despite the bugs, I love when the ferns are young and plentiful. Another great lesser known trail covered.

That is a great trail. My friend and I did it a couple years ago. On the second night we stayed up on a ridge and the wind got really bad and a tree limb fell and put a hole in my friend's tent. Still a great trip though. Seeing this makes me want to do it again. Thanks for your videos, I can tell you put a lot of work into them and I hope you get more subscribers because you deserve them.

Thanks Matt! Yeah, the ridge is where all the good campsites are with the views, but it must get pretty windy up there if the weather turns bad. Your friend is lucky only the tent was damaged. Glad nobody got hurt. Glad you enjoyed the video.

How cool to view your video's and especially those of Pa. Since they are nearby. Age restricts my movement to a degree and such being the case, i can go along with you in spirit as you hit the trails. Your video's are are quite professional and i can see you eventually having thousands of subscribers.

We did it over Labor Day weekend.fantastic time, it was pretty dry in the 1st half. Torrential rain day 2 till 1pm and all day day 3. We caught a later shuttle so we could check out the view at Barbour Rock on day 1 while the weather was good.

Thank you for posting this video! I'm hiking it starting this Sunday and on the fence on whether I want to use my new Lone Peak 7s or the Topo Trailventure 2's I used last year. It looks like there's not much in the way of bouldering or rocky climbs - is that accurate? The Lone Peaks are notoriously bad at gripping wet rock, and it's going to rain a bunch.

You are correct, there's not much bouldering or rocky climbs on this trail. Just be careful crossing those streams though. I had to learn the hard way. LOL

Ouch! I've slipped like that many times and it usually results in a visit to the chiropractor!!! Still enjoyed the video though ☺️.

Thanks! I'm very lucky it was nothing serious. It was quite painful at first, but after a few hours I felt fine. By the second day I had forgotten all about it. However, now I think about it every time I cross a stream. LOL

Thanks George! Most of this video was shot with a DJI Pocket 2, with a few shots using an Insta360 One x2. The sound is recorded with a Zoom H1 and Roland CS-10EM microphones. I edited the video using DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.

Any advice for this trail, things to bring, where to camp, etc. I am planning to hike this trail in April and make a 2 day 1 night trip of it.

All of the campsites with the epic views are along the rim, but they are all dry sites. And all of the water is in the ravines away from the rim, and there are some campsites back there too. I had to get used to the idea of dry camping on this trip, so my advice is to bring an extra water bag and fill up at your last water crossing at the end of the day. Then you will have more options for campsites. If you are doing this in 2 days, then my second night campsite would be great as long as you can do the 18 miles to get there in a day. The view was really great!
