splendid talk sir! if, possible could you shed light on this very Occidentalism school. it's silly concept just decided by postcolonial intellects mostly, I see this an interesting narrative, where East clashes with the West. love and respect!

Thank you very much...do you mean a critique of Occidentalism as a Eurocentric discourse...or as ...?

@@drjaydeepchakrabarty similarly, the etymology of the term is a reverse of orientalism, as it is a western reading of the east, occidentalism is an eastern reading of the west. here on, postcolonial scholars intersect and use to excerpt that orientalism is no more than a silly concept (how it could be interesting) as undermined by these intellects. some critics for instance Egyptian philosopher, Hasan's version of occidentalism says, as it is the science of adopting western values by eliminating them. oftentimes and conversely by many critics, for example, the post 9/11 version of Buruma and Margalit explained it as hostility against the west by the or from the east. so, it could be said as eurocentric as well. it's another version like chines, the term is the criticism of its political (oppressive structures) system, the west is a metaphor for it. thanks!
