Hi Sridhar Nice informative video.. Have u researched or studied on the impact of mono cultures in the western ghats region particularly earleaf acacia in the Karnataka region not on the top of the ghats but the lowland areas and the intermittent zones.... entire stretches of the lowland areas lowland hills r just full of this species of earleaf acacia... i happen to hail from this region and i observe the soil moisture differences, biodiversity, and temperatures differences in the areas particularly filled with earleafs.... The Karnataka government back in this 70s was actively planting and encouraging people to grow for the quality of timber etc.... now it is become such a nuisance and a biodiversity threat.... Earleaf acacia a tree native to the semi arid regions of australia has just colonized the western ghats eco region ....

Dear Professor,I wish that your team had provided 'bold letter captions'. The auto-generated English subtitles is awful. ..consistently showing ''guards' instead of 'ghats'. Anyway, thanks for the introductioon , . Your team can learn the art of bold-captions- from Pllatform7 channel by Binay Sankar. As an illustration , I am giving one of his great videos on Palghat pass. Wonderful that an IIT is coming up in Palgat region. railway lline to Otthapalam . lovely from 25 mins to 45 miins . IIT shown at 35 mins timeline.
