We (Valhalla) use to run 6-10 LAN events per year with the average attendance of 300+ and occasionally 450+, biggest one off LAN (RELOADED) was 900+

close games are the best. Like vanilla wow, where an alterac valley could last days upon days. You leave to go to sleep, join up the next morning and find it's the same game still going, still deadlocked. Every time you start to have a good push and think it might be over that adrenaline gets pumping.

Linus talking about being able to completely dominate in a game reminds me of my Quake 2 and 3 days. A couple years ago when I got my 2080 I loaded up QuakeLive. After a minute to recall the muscle memory, I started absolutely destroying these kids. I was lapping people, racking up two, three, four times the frags of the next guy. It was amazing. I wish the Enemy Territory community was still alive.

They should totally have an esports with a prize pool and entry fee. One that isnt based off just one game. An all over esports competition that doesnt involve 1 game. Like 8 different games or something that are different types so we can see the best over all gamers. A bit like they did with the scrapyard wars games. Im sick of esports that peoppe just play one game. Throw in 10 and lets see what team averages out the best placings.

My friends and I used to do 16 player LANs of Halo CE back in the day, and there was nothing more fun than playing 3 hour long matches of capture the flag on Sidewinder. Good times.

Getting a storming run in anything is an amazing feeling, I lucked into a storm on horizon 5 infected a couple days ago where I personally took out every single opponent and the entire round lasted 27 seconds. I bet every opponent was just WTF?

Honestly... Lucky i couldn't attend. I have over 400 hours of l4d playing expert with 3 other often dead friends. I was considering going but I have to get my passport ready. Ugh it's a massive pain for me.

Blood gulch halo1 was so great. Had a full spawn lock till end game from dashing to the spawn sniper and quick scoped the spawn location on the opponents team. Headshots the entire time. They have a wall that's supposed to prevent that but you can aim a pixel above the wall and manage Headshots on spawn. That was waay back in windows xp era almost Vista and I'd play competitive online.

How hard is it to get a passport in your country? In the Netherlands you make an appointment online and go to your local municipality House (don't know if this is the correct translation) and you pay the fee and give them an id photo. If you don't have that one you can almost always let it be taken on the spot in a photo boot. You wait a few days and it is made. You can even let it be shipped to your house by a certified shipper.

@@Knakkerman- basically you apply for it with a bunch of documents proving you are why you say you are and deal with the American post offices. The legal documents however can be a real pain. The one I have the most issues with is my birth certificate specifically. There is personally identifiable reasons so I'll leave it at that. And yes I do have one for USA I just need to get a different one.
