Nice job. I haven't been there in many years. It appears they've improved the museum, adding the Whaley family history, and displays of artifacts from the garbage dump. The cemetery looks much nicer than I remember, with the fencing around the graves. As a San Diego native, it's always great to learn a bit more of the history. I recently discovered that there are census records going back to the Spanish occupation in the 1700s, that list the soldiers assigned to the Presidio. It was fascinating to read their names. It's amazing the things that are now available online.

my brother's company was hired to build the back deck (which is the street side) that is currently there. my dad and me are responsible for almost everything that's visible. it's so cool seeing my family's work in a random ass KZbin video 😎👍

@@JourneyWithMurphy so, on top of the deck renovation, the ticket house, that cottage off to the side, was sinking so that was under dug and shored up, but they didn't want to disrupt tourism so they did it at night. one night, one of the workers stayed to finish something alone, and was closing up when he noticed a light on upstairs. he couldn't get in and he saw a woman walk across the room with the light on. he told someone about it the next day and they told him no one was there, they don't have the budget to have people there all night. the worker was told about the ghosts and shown a photo of Violet and, no shit, dude quit on the spot and left.

15:19 Am I correct in assuming the lady walking behind you in period dress is a tour guide?

I just went here a couple of months ago. That first room that you showed that was blocked off- Violet actually shot herself in the house behind and was brought in to the master bedroom and lay dying on that couch to the left. Also, that large arch marks the spot that the hangings occurred! This was told to us by the tour guide.

Really cool! Thank you for the clarification on Violet. I heard the same about that arch- quite a fascinating and macabre house.

Everyone always says the most haunted house in America. How about keeping it real. Maybe the most haunted house in town, or the city or state. There are a gazillion most haunted in America. The constant embelishment is over done.

Haha yeah tons of places claim it! Most with usually an interesting back story.
