I have studied Scripture and the Testimony of Jesus for more than 50 years and wrote 44 study volumes on numrious subjects! I had interaction with the GC on all the critical doctrine over a period of more than 2 years and I was amased by their ignorance on their take, which was so directly in contradiction of both S and the ToJ! They admitted that they do not consult neither the S / ToJ before "voting"! What did the ToJ said about the GC, the GC is BECOMING (an ongoing process) corrupted in sentiments and principles, and the GC is NOT the Voice of God anymore!! The GC constitution is the CAUSE of all the deviations in our believes and the fables being voted in by a properly constituded committee meeting where the majority present voted! The GC constitution defines the GC as a Secular/politicsl organisation and ANYTHING can be changed nodified or abolished by a majority vote, meaning the GC could vote that SDA's could keep Sunday as a Sabbath and there is nothing to prevent them to do it legally!! The ToJ states explicily, stay away from the majority, multitude, etc. Come back to Theocracy, get away from democracy which creates the kingly powers of the GC, etc. Etc. It seems that even most of the SDA's do not study, the S and ToJ is SO clear on its WARNINGS against the GC, but SDA's seems to be so indoctronated they are just not interested to know the Truth as given in the S and ToJ! That is why the ToJ states that only +- 4% of the SDA's on the registers will be prepared to break this yoke of the GC which is Tradition and Democracy! If you are a SDA, Please go and study do not listen to any of this GC rules and regulations, dump the church manual and follow Scripture because in their is all the instructions necessary, no need for voting on anything!! Pray!!!

Excellent Words my Brother. The one thing in the Adventist Church that is very unfortunate is the fact that we hold GC Conference, Union and Conference Leaders in HIGH regard . Most of us are attached only by what they heard on a cassette, video tapes or saw on some internet channel and we stand firmly and say “she/he is a man of God,” when the evidence of their sin is right before us and crystal clear. If you have a heartbeat and no chariot of fire is coming to pick you up you are not infallible. My only prayer is to follow Christ and His words through the Spirit of Prophecy. And let me say this - I have worked with TONS of Adventist Pastors since the age of 3. But in my many years, the only name I will EVER defend is Christ! No human here can guarantee me salvation - only Jesus and I love the Lord and will NOT find myself lost. Isaiah 8:20 is my compass “To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is NO LIGHT IN THEM!” Jesus is our ONLY light.

White describes in “Early Writings“ sequence of the last stages, which shows that there is a shaking because of sins and false doctrines within the church and a final test for all people because of the “mark” or Sunday law. Beginning with the shaking (EW 269-273), the following sequence emerges: the church consists of 2 groups, whereby the faithful are separated from the indifferent and careless by the straight testimony to the church of Laodicea. Then comes the latter rain for the faithful who have prepared themselves for it through sanctification and confession of sin. In the loud cry that follows, first the first angel's message (the eternal gospel; see 7BC-A 984) is proclaimed with great power in the power of the latter rain, followed by the two warning cries (repetition of the second angel's message and calling out, Rev 18:2-5; see 7BC-A 985) from Revelation 18:2-5. Through the two warning cries and the third angel's message in the power of the latter rain, the wicked are then aroused and take measures against the rest (EW 272). Only then does the final test take place through the Sunday law for all people and, of course, especially for the church. Your quote refers to the final test because of the mark of the beast (5T 81), but on the previous pages the shaking because of sins and false doctrines as well as our present time is described very well (5T 79f). The chronological order in Early Writings (first the shaking, then the latter rain and the loud cry, and then the three angels' messages and the Sunday law as the final test) is therefore decisive because this is inspired and not a compilation like “Last Day Events”, for example, where the order is determined by the compiler and the two separations are mixed up, just as events are not always ordered chronologically. The Loud Call separates these two divisions, with the shaking starting before and the test for all happening at the end.

God used Muslims to wake me up to my sins while I was holding a leadership position in a Christian organization. My fellow Christians brethren in that same organization in the meantime were silent and felt uncomfortable to say something to me. I thank God for those Muslims!!! It could have been a lot worse. If you truly love your brethren who just happened to be in rebellion against God, say something...do something!! Otherwise, you hate your brethren.

32:38 Amen! When Finley was talking about this recently, he didn't argue his case as much as just... well... dismiss the idea. Conversely, the whole Bible tracks the remnant of the remnant. Genesis 4-6 shows us the split in the early human family. Gen 6-9 shows Noah's family was the only remnant left. Gen 9-11 sets up the line of Shem as the remnant line. Gen 12 has God calling Abram out as a remnant of the remnant line... and we're only 12 chapters into the Bible!

Absolutely bang on. I am a new Adventist (came here from New Age). I was almost heartbroken broken when I understood what was happening within this movement, felt so upset that I had found the Truth and then had to face the infiltration of corruption in this end times Church. I understand now that this was prophesied and I pray for all who are currently travelling down the wrong path but at the same time I call them out (I have spoken directly to my Pastor about his views which are taking him into apostasy). When I came into the faith, I remember the struggle I had and that was back in the late 90's. Now I feel it would not be possible to bring someone into a Conference Church. We are in the very end times, it is disappointing to see what is going on. But the very faithful will go through. We cannot allow all these horrible things to influence our lives. Apostasy was prophesied. Ellen White said, not 1:20 will be saved. It is easy to see that. But the very faithful, and those that have overcome sin will go through. It is easy to see why this is true. We need to pray for the Lord to help us to remain faithful to the end, and to help us to overcome sin. Sin will NOT enter into Heaven. We must overcome as Jesus overcame. But most SDA do not love Christ, most SDA keep pagan holy days and have forgotten the Holy days God gave them . In the last EGW quote I used, she indicated that where we see rich floors of wheat (that is SDA members) there will be great loss. So just as in Israel there were those who were taking part of Baal worship, and on the outside they were considered Israel, but God's true remnant, were the 7000 that did not bow the knee the Baal. God is very clear that there would be 144000 (personally I think it is a symbolic number, but that is besides the point) that would keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. These are those that come out of great tribulation. Jesus is not the remnant.

@@beltoftruth56 Admittedly I don't have all the answers. Organization is important, it took years as far as I know to solidify it as a denomination. But it has become a self serving bureaucracy, and I don't' think what we currently have is what EGW would support, in the way that it operates. God will show us the way, as we pray, study the Bible and the SOP, God has to lead us. He knows we don't want to be rebels, to submit to proper authority, but what is that proper authority now? This needs greater study for sure.
